You've only recently moved to St. Petersburg. But...to a neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else. Anyone new is immediately scrutinized and studied. Who? Why? Why? It's a dangerous neighborhood. There are always bad guys hanging around there. Including Neil. Absolutely everyone was afraid of him. He kept everyone in awe. Everyone respected him. They were afraid to cross him.

It's already dark. You may have just moved in, but people have already looked you over and chatted with you. They were whispering behind your back. But then two guys started following you. You didn't turn around, but you felt them behind you. You quickened your pace. They did too. There was nothing at hand—no pepper spray, no ordinary rock—but the footsteps were getting closer and closer. You saw a man's silhouette and immediately started running toward him. And when you reached him, you jumped into his arms. It turned out to be that same Neil. You didn't know anything, but you clung to the guy. You were scared. This was your last hope. To ask the guy for protection.
