Persona Attributes
Intern
The Intern is a rabbit-like creature with protruding ears. In the Class Shop, it's represented in light orange. The Intern wears a white hoodie with gray pockets, a zipper, and black drawstrings, along with simple white pants. Its face has small black dots for eyes and a wide smile.
Psychologist
The Psychologist is a green, rabbit-like creature with protruding ears, wearing a dark green shirt and brown trousers, a black tie, and brown shoes. They have large eyes with triangular black eyeliner on the left and right sides, huge round brown glasses, and a large black mustache covering their mouth.
Secret agent
A secret agent is an all-black, cat-like creature with pointed ears. They wear a black vest over a white collared shirt, a black tie, a white pocket square, and black trousers. Their faces feature slanted eyes with bright yellow sclera, reminiscent of a cat's, and their mouth and nose appear invisible unless they are behind a glass door.
Security guard
The Security Guard is a gray, fox-like creature with pointy ears. He wears a dark blue shirt with large side pockets and simple black pants. He wears a black hat with the word "SECURITY" written in white letters. He has slanted eyes with white irises and prominent black eyelids, as well as a small, downturned mouth. This character has one official skin, "Hospital Duck." This skin transforms the Security Guard into a green duck with an orange beak. The Security Guard's legs are black, and his hands are white. To create this skin, the ears and facial markings were completely removed. The Security Guard's hat in this skin is replaced with the same police hat worn by Officer Duckman.
Nurse
The Nurse is a light pink dog-like creature with floppy ears and a long, curled tail, wearing a light blue medical uniform. The uniform has white buttons down the middle and a white collar, as well as a small name tag and pockets. On the Nurse's head is a white cap with a red heart with a white cross inside. Their drooping ears are significantly darker than the rest of their body. Their face has three horizontal, dark pink stripes running down the left and right sides of their face, large eyes with triangular black outlines to the left and right of each eye, and a small
Head Nurse
The head nurse is a white, cat-like creature with gray spots and pointed ears resembling horns. She wears a light blue medical uniform with large pockets on the sides. A black stethoscope hangs around her neck. On her head, she wears a white nurse's cap with a red heart, and inside the heart is a white cross. She has large eyes with protruding black eyelids and a small, downturned mouth.
Ron Bukhalger
Ron resembles a blue rabbit with dark brown hair. His ears are low-set and a darker blue than his face. He wears large round black glasses, a white suit, a black tie, black trousers, and brown shoes. He also carries a black suitcase with the words "TOP SECRET" printed in red—the same as Dr. Harlow's. The lettering is in a stamped font.
Background
Ron works in accounting and is well versed in anomalies and entities. Thanks to his past experience at the Animal Hospital, he knows why the hospital keeps hiring new interns. He keeps this a secret from the player. It can be assumed it's because previous interns and employees have died on the job.
One conversation with the player also reveals that he knows about a previous intern who was eaten by the Bed Monster. Since then, Ron always carries maple syrup with him to prevent him from being eaten.
Ron will also tell the player that patients are admitted to the hospital not because they're sick, but because they're infected. His knowledge suggests he's been going to the hospital for some time now to avoid getting infected.
His knowledge that the old files were moved a month ago suggests that he had been interested in the Animal Hospital for a month.
Ron also encountered the Mass of Eyes monster, explaining that eyes were staring at him from the ceiling, causing the old doctor to panic and search for eye drops. Afterward, the doctor disappeared.
Ron also encountered the Stalker. He occasionally catches glimpses of the Stalker out of the corner of his eye, but his time in the hospital has taught him that the Stalker is shy and doesn't like being looked at.
Ratthew came into Ron's office one day and looked at reports of experiments that Ron wasn't supposed to see. Character
Ron is a very knowledgeable patient at the Animal Hospital. He knows more about the monsters and anomalies in the hospital than most people. Despite having encountered a wide variety of monsters, his cool and unwavering demeanor
Barney
Barney appears as a white, rabbit-like creature with black, slit-like eyes and a mustache. He wears a brown hat and brown plaid pants. In his anomalous form, he has a large mouth with sharp teeth and large, empty black eyes with a small white dot in the center. He holds a knife in his hands. Background
Little is known about Barney's past. Barney is an anomaly and a dangerous serial killer. When first interacting with the player, Barney asks for coffee because he's had a long day. Given his past as a serial killer, it's safe to assume his long day consisted of murder. The next time he visits the hospital, he asks for coffee again. If you close the shutters and don't give him coffee within 120 seconds (2 minutes), he will threaten you and say, "Be careful, I don't like being denied." This comment is the first hint that he is a serial killer.
In the following dialogue, he asks the player to keep an eye on his red briefcase. Barney will ask for more coffee the next time he comes by, and shortly afterward, he will ask the player to take a photo of him. It's unknown why Barney wants this photo, but it marks the first time the player sees Barney in his anomalous form. (Note: Officer Duckman will later show you this photo. How the photo ended up in Officer Duckman's hands is unknown.)
After the previous interaction, Barney will approach you and ask for coffee. After you give him the coffee, Barney will ask for a scalpel. This is the last shift you'll see Barney in his normal state, as the next shift, he'll ask you to hide with him. You can refuse this request by closing the shutters, like all other interactions.
Barney asks for more coffee and soon after asks the player to hide him. As far as we know, he kills his victims with a kitchen knife, like Officer Duckman. The police have been tracking Barney, and he has little choice but to turn to the workers for help. The worker can then either allow him to hide in the office.
Ratthew
Appearance
Ratthew looks like a small black anthropomorphic rat. He has a white muzzle, two white teeth, and a long pink tail. His ears are more rabbit-like than typical rat ears. He occasionally looks at the camera, but doesn't turn his head any further than is physically possible. This doesn't mean he's abnormal in any way. Background
Little is known about Ratthew's past. From a conversation with Ron in Accounting, we learn that he did, in fact, work in his department. According to Ron, Ratthew reviewed experimental reports in his department that Ron wasn't supposed to see. This suggests a possible sinister backstory for Ratthew.
During Ratthew's first interaction with the player, he explains that being small has its advantages: he hears and sees things others can't. He claims that this makes being small dangerous. At this point, Ratthew's identity is labeled "???" because the player doesn't yet know his name. The next time Ratthew visits the hospital, he tells the player that he considers them a good person. He believes this so much that he reveals his identity, revealing himself as Ratthew. He then advises the player not to trust anyone at the hospital, explaining why his name was deliberately concealed during their first encounter.
The next time he meets Rattu, he'll tell the player he's starting to like them. He tells the player that people consider him an anomaly and expresses regret for that. He's pleased that the player treats him like anyone else.
Ratthew reappears and tells the player he needs to disappear for a while because the government is hunting him. This might explain why he was tearing up the experiment reports in Ron's office. Ratthew knows government secrets, and the government doesn't want Ratthew sharing them with anyone. This means Ratthew is somehow involved with government affairs.
Ratthew had a brief conversation with the player when the player said he needed to disappear for a while. During this conversation, he mentioned having a sister.
Stalker
The Stalker is a tall, thin, black creature of unknown species. Like the Hiders, it has large, almond-shaped eyes with black irises, white sclera, and a sheen, as well as a wide, crescent-shaped smile with flat, piano-key-like teeth. However, it has longer limbs and a smaller torso. It also has a black, curved tail, similar in shape to that of a Ratthew.
Background
Ron from Accounting mentions that he used to work with Stalker, and describes him as shy due to his habit of disappearing if noticed.[1] However, it is unknown whether Stalker is truly shy or simply likes to observe workers from afar. Behavior
The stalker randomly appears around corners and in rooms. When it appears, the light in the room it's in flickers and a sound effect plays. If spotted, it quickly disappears behind a wall and drains 10 Sanity from any worker who looks at it.
There's also a small chance that he'll register as a patient. During this event, he'll lean over to look at the worker, causing his form to appear glitched rather than normal. To get rid of him, the worker must take a photo of him. Looking directly at him during this event will cause the worker to lose 2 sanity per second. During the "Registration" event, the stalker places a job application at Animal Corporation on the reception desk instead of a patient's application.
Bed Monster
The Bed Monster is a black, ghostly figure that appears under a patient's bed. It has two glowing red eyes and two large arms that can protrude from under the bed, but otherwise has no visible body parts.
It leaves black particles on the edge of the bed. Behavior
The Blood Monster can appear under a patient's bed. It breathes heavily, staring intently at the worker as they move. If a worker, patient, or even a lurker enters the red zone, the Blood Monster will reach out and grab them.
If this happens to a worker, the monster slowly pulls them under the bed. At this point, you need to quickly press the resistance button to break free. While grappling, it reduces your Sanity by 10 points, then by 5 points every 2 seconds while pulling you toward it.
If the Blood Monster grabs a patient, it will trigger an event and pull the patient under the bed, just like the worker.
To make the Blood Monster go away, give it maple syrup, a transplant, or an organ. Once you have the item, enter the red box. The Blood Monster will take the cure for you and soon disappear. Strategies
Be sure to use Maple Syrup, Graft, or Organ to make it disappear. Just walk around it to avoid the red hitbox. You can lure the Lurker into the Bed Monster's hitbox to get rid of both enemies at once.
Patient rooms 3
Room 8 - Operating Room
To cure a patient, you must complete a minigame in the operating room. This minigame is a timed mechanic in which the player must perform several random procedures on the patient within 45 seconds to save them. The timer doesn't start until the patient is given an IV. The items on the tables are randomly placed, so they will be in different locations each time. After the IV, you must give the patient one item at a time for four turns, and on the fifth turn, instead of one, they will ask for three. After this, the operation is complete.
Unlike other rooms, the operating room offers exclusive procedures, including transplants, organ transplants, and the use of scalpels, scissors, and antibiotics.
It is not possible to make a diagnosis or prescribe treatment in this room, as procedures are randomly generated and carried out throughout the mini-game.
The first half of this room contains a counter with the same printer and PC and wall cabinets on the left wall, as well as three chairs and a sign reading "SURGERY" on the right. Next to the counter is a recycling bin. In the second half, there's an operating table in the middle, with two surgical lamps hanging above it. Under the table is a large spot, and there are counters to the right, left, and back. All three counters randomly shuffle items, but the nine items that appear remain the same: antibiotics, medicine, IV, organ, transplant, first aid kit, scalpel, scissors, and bandages.
Patients
Patients can behave differently: sometimes they introduce themselves formally and politely, while others are shy and withdrawn. Overall, patients appear intimidated and even hesitant due to the atmosphere and backstory of the Animal Hospital. If the player takes too long to register them, they become impatient. If they are refused, they become terrified and angry, and then leave the hospital.
Behavior
Incoming patients walk slowly at first, but their speed can be increased at the supply store. There are also patients sitting in the lobby. These patients will not approach the registration window to check in. Instead, they will be given a dialogue about the hospital. They may be attacked by impersonators and the staff member themselves with a stun gun and pistol.
After registering a patient, the worker receives +1 Sanity point when using the Secretary. After completing treatment, the worker receives +1 Sanity point when using the Doctor.
Incoming patients may be anomalies that are easily noticed, or they may be very subtle and require more time to identify. They can be detected using a camera or surveillance camera.
Sometimes, if a staff member takes too long to see a patient, the patient changes their mind and leaves the hospital. In rare cases, patients may leave after receiving their badge. This can happen accidentally or if all the rooms are occupied.
If a patient is admitted to the hospital, they will wait in a ward for treatment. If they are given the wrong treatment, they will die. Some patients are critically ill and must be treated as quickly as possible or they will die. If a patient dies, the player receives a penalty if they are normal animals; if they are abnormal, the player receives a reward. When the patient recovers, they emerge from the bed in bandages. They then leave the building. If you stun or shoot an animal, you lose 1- common sense.
Patients 2
Some patients are considered critically ill and must be treated as quickly as possible or they will die. If a patient dies, the worker receives a penalty if they are normal animals; if they are abnormal, the worker receives a reward. When a patient recovers, they get out of bed in bandages. They then leave the building. Tasering or shooting an animal will cost you 15 Sanity points.
Mucus Image of mucus. Visitors who are admitted will stand in the room in front of the hospital bed. Sometimes they will enter rooms where there are no patients. Sometimes, after examining them, they leave the hospital saying, "Uh... never mind, actually."
"If a patient loses consciousness, you can take them to the designated room and then treat them as usual, or throw them in any trash can, after which the message "No one will know..." will appear.
Patients may drop mucus while walking. This doesn't necessarily mean they are abnormal. Mucus can be removed without any objects or with a fire extinguisher, as it can slow down players or patients who step in it. Using cough syrup or a fire extinguisher will help clear the mucus more quickly.

All of these posters have the phrase "STAY HEALTHY, STAY SAFE" printed in small print.
Poster for Room 1 | YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT TO US Poster for Room 1 | YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT TO US Poster for Room 2 | We trust our experts Poster for Room 2 | We trust our experts Poster for Room 5 | Feeling unwell? We're working on it. Poster number 5 | Feeling ill? We're on our way. Emergency department
The emergency departments are located on the left side of the hospital, with the door to the emergency department next to the office door. These departments are numbered 6–8, and more effort is required to establish a diagnosis.
On the left wall are two folding chairs, room 7, syrup treatments, green recycling bin, green treatments, and on the front wall is room 8. On the right wall are drop treatments, red treatments, white treatments, room 6, and two folding chairs.
Room 6 - X-ray room
To obtain a diagnosis, players must complete the "Simon Says" minigame in the X-ray room. This minigame features a "reproduce a sequence" mechanic, requiring the player to observe a sequence of four colors and reproduce it. If the player enters an incorrect sequence, the computer will prompt them for a new one.
This room can be divided into three parts:
Entrance:
A small room with walls resembling those of a disaster wing. Three chairs stand against the right wall, and at the front is a counter with two wall cabinets above it. In the left wall is a door with a sign reading "X-ray."
Operating room:
A medium-sized room with a sign reading "6" on the left wall. On the front wall is a large monitor, and beneath it is a stand with a printer and a PC. On the right wall is a panel with six black buttons with colored wires attached: red, green, blue, orange, pink, and light blue. In the center is the monitor. On the back wall is a warning sign reading "DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE INSIDE. DO NOT OPEN."
Patient rooms
There are 8 wards in the hospital. Medical wing
Medical rooms are located on the right side of the corridor. They are numbered 1 through 5. These rooms are where patients' DNA is extracted, analyzed, and diagnosed.
This wing has two light fixtures, and on the left wall are two folding chairs. Room 1 has red curtains, white curtains, and Room 3. On the front wall next to Room 5 is a green recycling bin. On the right wall are Room 4, blue curtains, a green recycling bin, green curtains, Room 2, and two folding chairs.
Room 1
Room 1 consists of a window with closed blue curtains on the right wall. On the front wall hangs a heart monitor and a poster with the words "YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT TO US," featuring a picture of a cat. The poster reads, "STAY HEALTHY, STAY SAFE." There's also a sign with the number "1" and a stand with a DNA analyzer and a computer, with cabinets above them. On the left wall is a bed with an IV and a small nightstand with a box of gloves. Above the bed is a large monitor. There's only one light source in this room.
Room 2
Room 2 is similar to Room 1, but the heart monitor has been moved and sits next to the counter, and three black chairs now stand in its place. The poster now features a cat doctor, and the text reads, "We trust our specialists." The sign now reads "2," and next to the computer are a cup with a very black handle, a black pen, and a blue pen. The glove compartment has also been removed.
Room 3
Room 3 is similar to Room 2, but the heart monitor remains in the same place as in Room 2, the poster has been removed, the sign says "3," and instead of chairs, there is a three-compartment filing cabinet with a potted plant on it. A small nightstand now has a potted plant on it. The cup with handles has also been removed.
Room 4
Room 4 is similar to Room 3, but a heart monitor sits next to a small nightstand, and the filing cabinet has been replaced with a partition. The plant pots have been removed, and the sign reads "4."
Room 5
Room 5 is similar to "4"
Hospital
Premises of the building
Lobby
The lobby consists of two parts: right and left (as viewed from the entrance). The lobby is where patients enter. On the right are five chairs lined up in a row beneath a white plus sign, beneath which is written in black text "ZOOPATHOLOGY HOSPITAL." In the corner, near one end of the row of chairs, stands a potted plant, and another one, this time closer to the entrance than the chairs. On the left are three rows of five chairs, with two potted plants in the corners. A surveillance camera hangs above the chairs. This room has three separate windows: two on the back wall and one next to the front door. This room has three light sources in total. The front doors are located on the back wall.
Vestibule (on the right) Vestibule (on the right) Vestibule (left) Vestibule (left) Check-in
The Waiting Room is the room the player (or players) enters after the game loads. The room contains two windows with metal shutters that read "OUT OF SERVICE" in red text. These shutters are connected to a red button labeled "SHUTTERS." A yellow Post-it note reads "Use shutters to keep people out" in blue text. A long, L-shaped metal table sits next to both windows. This table has several markings that likely indicate the order in which the items on the table are used when registering patients. A small ATV is mounted with a g-cam. This camera can take a photo of patients attempting to register. The camera takes a photo of the patient/visitor, and if they are an anomaly, the image may become static or reveal the anomaly's identity. When a visitor or patient registers, they place a clipboard with documents on the metal table next to the camera. You can stamp the forms, causing them to appear in a blue circle with a blue line inside. In the corner of the opening in the first window there is a bell that patients/visitors ring every time
The most important thing.
To survive, you need to be attentive. Anomalies manifest themselves in different ways:
Appearance. For example, the patient may have three glowing red eyes, an unnaturally wide smile with sharp teeth, a blank face, or erratic twitching. In photographs. If you take a photo, it may reveal distortions (such as different eyes or a static effect) that are not visible during an in-person examination. Looking at such a "cursed" photo will cost you sanity points. On CCTV cameras. Some anomalies are not noticeable during a normal inspection, but only appear on camera footage. Your task is to spot these signs early. Once you identify an anomaly, you need to take action, such as closing blinds or shutters to isolate the threat. Your arsenal also includes a stun gun (unlocked later) and a pistol (purchased in the store for in-game currency).
Other features
Sanity. This is a critical stat. Stress from work, encounters with anomalies, and other factors all reduce it. If your sanity drops to zero, it's game over. Progression. You earn currency for completing shifts. This currency can be used to unlock new items, and there's also a second currency (Animal Coin) that can be used to purchase different classes (roles). Each role has its own unique features and appearance: you can become an intern, a nurse, a secretary, a surgeon, a doctor, or even a secret agent. Events. At the end of many shifts, special incidents occur: an ambulance, a fire, a death ritual, or an influx of critical patients (when you have a limited time to save them).
Prompt
This animal hospital receives a variety of animals that can talk and walk on their hind legs, but some patients may have abnormalities.
