Aoi Kanzaki is a Demon Slayer who chose to work at Butterfly Mansion instead of fighting, where she helps treat wounded Slayers. Kanae Kocho was a demon slayer, the older sister of Shinobu Kocho, and the adoptive sister of Kanao Tsuyuri. Kanae is a tall, thin girl with pale skin. Her eyes are a light lilac hue, and her black hair is hip-length, with butterfly-shaped hairpins on the sides. Kanae is a kind and carefree girl, always sporting a welcoming smile. Tanjiro Kamado is a young man with tanned skin and an athletic build, mostly with red or maroon hair slicked back and large red eyes. Muzan is the first demon in the world, the progenitor of all others. But he knows how to change his appearance: he takes the form of a woman (in a yukata with a floral ornament) or a little boy. In battle or when severely weakened, its body transforms differently: additional mouths appear on the limbs, a dark red mass on the skin, and in sunlight it takes on a giant shape similar to a baby. He is extremely ruthless, manipulative and narcissistic. He does not tolerate objections, considers himself superior to others and does not feel sympathy. His main goal is to gain absolute immortality by getting rid of vulnerability to sunlight. To do this, he created a group of powerful demons to search for the "blue spider lily". At the same time, he treats his subordinates cruelly: he can kill them for the slightest offense or to demonstrate his superiority. He has a whole arsenal: immortality and powerful regeneration, sensitivity to blood and other demons, telepathy, biological manipulation (he can change his physiology faster and more accurately than others), the ability to absorb organic objects (for example, seeds or other demons to take over their powers). His blood greatly enhances any demon if they accept it. It was Muzan who killed most of the Kamado family and turned Nezuko into a demon. He is the main enemy of Tanjiro and the other demon slayers.

When Ubume was human, she was considered a caring mother who loved her daughter Sae very much. He dressed in the dark Cyan version of karate-gi. Like the other Lower Moons, Rokuro respected and feared Muzan. After Muzan destroyed almost all of the other Lower Moons, Rokuro feared for himself and begged the leader to give him more of his blood so that he could become stronger and not die. This showed his cowardly nature. At the same time, he was sensitive to the topic of family: when Tanjiro pointed out the toxicity of ties in his "family", Rui was furious and demanded that the hero abandon these words. At the same time, after Nezuko selflessly protected Tanjiro, Rui became obsessed with the idea of getting closer to her, which also showed his emotional instability. In human form, Rui was a sickly child, almost never leaving the house. Muzan offered to "save" him by turning him into a demon. Having received a strong body, Rui was able to move freely, but had to feed on people. His parents, seeing this, tried to stop him and ended up being killed by Rui himself. Muzan later supported Rui's idea of creating a "new family" of other demons, and Rui received permission from him to share his power. Rui could manipulate his flesh and blood, creating and manipulating thin, razor-sharp threads that resembled spider webs. He could also share this power with other demons, enhancing his territory and capabilities in battle.

Tamayo is a beautiful woman with long, dark brown hair tied up in a low hairstyle with a floral clip. She has large eyes without pupils - in a haze of pale pink color that turns into dark lavender. The face is pale, the lips are bright red. She usually wears a dark purple kimono with patterns of pale purple branches and red flowers. Tamayo is gentle, wise, and incredibly intelligent. She devoted her life to the study of the science of demons and transformation, becoming one of the most knowledgeable people in the matter. Despite the fact that she is a demon, she showed kindness to people: she treated the wounded and sick, and in order to survive, she did not kill people, but bought blood from donors. Tamayo was married and had children. Shortly before the transformation, she fell ill with a dangerous disease and was looking for a way to cure. Muzan offered to "cure" her, and she agreed without realizing the consequences. After the transformation, she lost her temper and killed her family. Later, after regaining her mind, she began to study demons, and 200 years later, she turned a terminally ill boy, Yushiro, into a demon, who became her assistant. Tamayo became Tanjiro's ally. She sought to find a way to turn the demon back into a human and destroy Muzan. For research, she used Nezuko's blood and demon blood samples from the Dozen Demonic Moons. Tamayo has the "Blood Demon Art", which uses her own blood to cast spells that alter her senses. She was also able to remove Muzan's innate curse by medical means. Nakime is a biwa-playing demon. Ranked as Upper Moon Four, she spends most of her time in the Infinity Fortress, a special dimension that served as Muzan's base. She is a pale woman with a grayish skin tone, sharp blue nails, and bright red lips. She has glossy, waist-length dark brown hair, two strands framing her face, and long bangs that cover her eyes. She wears a black kimono with a striped pale brown obi and always appears with a wooden biwa. After attaining the rank of Upper Moon Four, Nakime stopped wearing her bangs so as not to obscure her single, large, pink eye with the number "four" etched into its iris. The upper part of her face is darker, with visible veins around her eye. She is emotionless and very taciturn. She answers questions bluntly and can sometimes come across as rude. She is extremely loyal to Muzan, carrying out his orders flawlessly. Before becoming a demon, Nakime was a little-known musician who earned her living playing the biwa. Her husband, a gambling addict, squandered the only kimono she had for performances. In a fit of rage, Nakime killed him with a hammer. Afterward, she continued performing. Over time, she developed a habit of killing people before performances—the sound of her biwa improved, and the audience praised her more. Once, Nakime accidentally attempted to kill Muzan but failed. However, Muzan was so impressed by her searching skills that he transformed her into a demon. Nakime can alter the structure of the Fortress: create entrances and exits, move and reposition the walls. She uses biwa playing to do this. After reaching the rank of Upper Moon Four, Nakime learned to create and detach additional eyeballs from herself. This allows her to spy on opponents from a distance and locate their hiding places. The name "Nakime" is a combination of the kanji for "call, cry" and "woman, female."

Gyokko is the Fifth Upper Moon. He has a grotesque, abstract figure: a pale white humanoid form with no arms, but several childish hands along his back and head. He easily flew into a rage when someone criticized his work. He also displayed jealousy—for example, he attacked Hotaru Haganezuka because he was a talented blacksmith. In life, Gyokko (Managi's real name) was a fisherman and potter. After his parents drowned at sea, he began creating strange crafts from the fish he caught, arousing suspicions among his fellow villagers that he was insane. One day, a child mocked his hobby, and Managi, in a rage, killed the boy, placing his corpse in a fish pot. The child's parents attacked Managi, stabbed him with a fishing bident, and left him for dead. This is how Muzan found him, turning him into a demon. She can create fish-like creatures from her pots that release poisonous spines, leaving behind a dangerous venom upon death. She can also summon giant octopus-like tentacles to restrain or destroy enemies. She can also unleash powerful streams from her eyes, turning the water into sharp tendrils under pressure, or create a Water Prison Pot that suffocates and prevents the use of breathing techniques.

Enmu is the Lower Moon First. By his master's orders, he was to kill Tanjiro, Rengoku, and the other train passengers. Enmu has pale skin with a green-yellow pattern on his cheeks. His eyes are light turquoise: his ordinal number (the symbol of the Lower Moon) is engraved in the left, and a horizontal pupil in the right. His dark hair is parted in a side-swept fringe and tucked behind his ear on the right side, with crimson tips and two turquoise-tipped strands at the back. His clothing is European-style: a white shirt, a loose dark jacket, gray striped pants, and shoes. He combines dreaminess and a certain eccentricity with cruelty and sadism. He derives a perverse pleasure from the suffering of others: he likes to first lull his victims into a pleasant dream, and then turn it into a nightmare as he watches them suffer. He is fixated on advancing in rank and strives to reach the Upper Moon. Having received more blood from Muzan, he became more self-confident and greedy. When reality shattered this illusion, he took pleasure in their horror. Akaza is the 3rd Upper Moon. Before his transformation, his name was Hakuji. As a demon, he appears as a muscular young man with unnaturally white skin covered in blue stripes (resembling the tattoos he had in his human life). He has short pink hair and eyebrows, and yellow eyes with blue sclera and pink eyelashes. He usually wears a short, light purple, sleeveless haori and loose white pants with a blue belt. Akaza is a strong, stubborn, and impulsive demon. He enjoys war, especially hunting down powerful opponents (demons or Pillars). He looks down on those he considers weak, but sincerely respects truly strong individuals, regardless of their race. He also knows when to retreat. In his human life, Hakuji cared for his ailing father and was forced to steal for medicine. After his father committed suicide, Hakuji was exiled from Edo. There he met Keizo, a martial artist who took him under his wing and taught him the Soryu style. He also cared for Keizo's daughter, Koyuki, who suffered from a serious illness. Afterward, she recovered, and Keizo proposed marriage to Hakuji and his dojo. This led to a violent conflict: Hakuji, enraged, killed 67 kendo masters.
