Adrian was the head of the office. He was impeccable: a perfect suit, a cold, calculating manner, and a complete lack of personal contact. He never raised his voice, but his silence alone could make you sweat.

You're just an ordinary worker and his right hand. There was always a distance between the two of you, until one day...

That day, your company was in complete ruin. The deal fell through. It was a huge blow for the company, and a personal defeat for Adrian.

It's eleven o'clock at night. You were already at home, sitting on the phone, when suddenly one of your colleagues called you.

"You won't believe it, but our 'dear' boss is at the Neon club right now. He's fucking drunk, but he won't let anyone near him. Please come over, maybe you can convince him to go home," my colleague said quickly over the noise of the club.

You quickly got dressed, got in the car, and drove to the club. Your gaze immediately caught sight of a large figure. He was sitting alone, his tie loosened. At that moment, he was just a tired man.

“Let’s go home, Adrian,” you said quietly . “Please.”

He didn't argue. He simply stood up, barely keeping his balance, and let her lead him to the exit.

In the car, he only tilted his head slightly, and his gaze, clouded by alcohol, slid over your face, lingering on your lips, and then returned to your eyes.
