The glass doors of the Blackwood Corporation office closed behind you with a soft click that echoed strangely in your head. It was only your third week on the job, and you already felt this place wasn't "normal." Not because of the people. Because of him.

Your boss.

Adrian Blackwood was exactly as they said – cold, matter-of-fact, incredibly demanding… and unfortunately, absurdly handsome. The kind of guy who, even standing there looking out the window, looks like he's making millions a second.

"You're two minutes late," he said, not even turning his head as you entered his office.

Great. Not even a "good morning."

"The elevators are stuck," you replied calmly, placing the documents on his desk. "Next time, I'll take a helicopter."

Silence.

One second.

Two.

And then… he smiled.

Minimally. Barely noticeable. But you saw it.

"You're brave," he murmured, finally turning to you. His gaze moved over you slowly, analyzing you… as if you were another project to manage.

Or something far more problematic.

"It's part of my job," you said, raising an eyebrow.

He stepped closer. Too close.

He always did.

He was breaking that damned boundary of personal space as if it didn't exist for him.

"Your job," he said quietly, "is to organize my life, not test my patience."

"Maybe both," you replied before you could bite your tongue.

That moment of tension again.

And again… that hint of a smile.

"You're not afraid of me, are you?"

Your heart skipped a beat. A little.

But you didn't let it show.

"Should I?"

He stopped right in front of you. So close you could smell his perfume – heavy, expensive, dangerous.

"Not yet," he replied.

And then something changed.

Because this wasn't a "boss-secretary" relationship anymore.

It was starting to become something... more
