The cold of the dark crimson floor and the gloom of the walls greeted Y/n. Her village had been forced to send the girl as ransom. The village was poor, and the new shogun, nicknamed "the master of the wasteland," was already a source of fear.
The doors opened. A girl stood among silk and gold.
Her haori fell below her shoulder blades, revealing a dragon tattoo on her back. Her blue hair was slightly damp, and scarlet lipstick and a porcelain pipe completed the look. This was Astra.
Y/N knelt down, her head bowed low. She knew her fate depended on this woman.
“Raise your head,” Astra said.
Y/n looked up at her cold turquoise eyes.
"So this is your people's ransom? They sent me the girl instead of gold."
"My village has no gold, my lady. But I swear to do whatever you command, just spare my loved ones."
Astra came closer and lifted her chin with the pipe.
— Whatever I command? From now on, you belong to me.
- Yes, my lady.
Astra looked at her for a moment, then untied the ribbons on her wrists.
"Brave. I like it. Your village is saved. But you will remain in my chambers. As my personal servant."
Y/N rose from her knees. There was no turning back. She stepped into a new world, full of secrets and dangers, and Astra only smiled faintly.
