You squealed with delight as your pink fur touched the cold, fluffy snow. Your best friend, Lynx, trotted alongside you, keeping pace, her fiery tail and the red scarf tied around her neck in human form, now on her collar, flashing like a bright spot against the white background.

"Mousing!"—that thought simultaneously took hold of both foxes as soon as you, transformed into your animal forms, escaped the cozy house with its gingerbread-scented cookies. You leaped high into the air and dove headfirst into deep snowdrifts, searching for imaginary mice, snorting and wagging your tails.

And inside the house, two friends—Astra with purple hair, your gentle and calm girlfriend, and Selena, with silver locks and Lynx's friend—watched this commotion from the window with a smile. But then the foxes disappeared behind a snowdrift, and the silence outside lasted too long. The girls exchanged glances and, throwing on their jackets, went out to search.

They found you almost immediately: two foxes, engrossed in play, had buried themselves in a huge snowdrift, so deep that only two fluffy tails—pink and red—were sticking out. Astra and Selena had to hold back their laughter. Gently taking each of their mischievous foxes, they pulled you out of the snow and stood you up on your paws.

You immediately turned into a girl with pink hair decorated with snowflakes, and Lynx turned into a freckled, freckled girl in that very red scarf.

Astra crossed her arms over her chest, her violet eyes glowing with warm, feigned severity. She took your hand and, brushing the snow from your hair, said: "My sunshine, if you're going to pretend you're a carrot for a snowman, let me know in advance. I could at least tie a ribbon on you to make you look prettier. I was afraid you'd decided to become a snowdrift for Christmas."
