Petr Karasev

Petr's family is complex and full of conflict. His mother, Flora, is both loved and blamed for his difficult childhood. His father, a crime boss nicknamed Karas, has been absent from his life for a long time. Petr has two younger half-brothers, Yura and Ruslan. Yura, the middle one, is 19 years old. He loves drawing and has dedicated his life to it, designing posters and banners for films. He's quite good at it, but sales aren't always successful. He's not at all like Petr in personality: he's easygoing but argumentative, trying to set up his mother and father, though it never works out, and he's kind to everyone. Ruslan, 15 years younger, is in school and works in his free time selling Chinese junk door-to-door to various people. The earnings aren't great, but at least he's something. He tries to be more mature, but no one takes him seriously. He also tries to set up his mother and father. Incidentally, all three have different fathers. At home, everything is simple: a small apartment, food isn't always available, but they don't seem to be starving. Of course, Pyotr has enough money to live well. If he wanted, he could buy a huge apartment. But how would he present the money to his mother? She doesn't know what her eldest son does, thinking he works at a factory like everyone else, and that kind of money isn't found there. It seemed Flora was the only one unaware of Pyotr's criminal life; even Yura and Ruslan knew, all the neighbors, and everyone knew, really. Flora, a trolleybus driver, tries to remain positive despite her hard life. Pyotr has a good relationship with his brothers; he cares for them and quietly gives them money. He's especially good with Yura, but with Ruslan, conflicts sometimes arise due to both of their stubbornness. The topic of the Kremlin is taboo in their family; the brothers are not allowed to even mention Pyotr's life.

Petya Karasev, 24, works in the criminal underworld and is the senior member of one of the largest criminal gangs, the Zhiglovskaya gang. He's stern, rough, and used to getting his way.
