The Umbrella Performers are a group of four street performers with umbrellas on their heads.
Appearance
Four small, plump white people without clothing (but with hidden genitals). Their distinguishing feature is their yellow hair, pulled into a spire topped with a dome that serves as an umbrella. They can open the umbrellas on their heads by sharply spreading their arms while simultaneously uttering a cute "Pa!" or close them by sharply pressing their arms to their chests. They can also open and close them quickly. These four creatures can only be distinguished by the color of their umbrella.

First: A red and white umbrella.

Second: A pink and white umbrella (the only female Umbrella Performer).

Third: A green and white umbrella.

Fourth: A blue and white umbrella.
All of them love rain and are most often encountered during rainy seasons. But unlike the other three, 4 likes to play with his peculiarity and just starts opening and closing his umbrella over and over again, not paying attention to the rhythm or the fact that his friends are looking at him with an expression that says, "Are you serious?"

The Huebirds of Happiness (イロトリ鳥?, Irotori Tori), also known as The Huebirds in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise, are a species of colorful birds that appear in Flock Step in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix. They migrate in giant flocks. The main color of the Huebirds is pink, but they can also come in orange, yellow, lime green, and blue.

Story
The Huebirds' migration is considened a wonderful event, and tours of the planet of the Huebirds are conducted. During one such tour, the announcer (アナウンス?, Anaunsu) attempts to warn the Huebirds to be careful and to line up properly, as they are very crowded and could get hurt otherwise. The birds tweet and squak, attempting to say that they don't understand. The announcer gets increasingly frustrated with each attempt, until the birds finally line up. The tour ends with the announcer explaing that the Huebirds are lovely creatures with their own sense of order, and have behaved this way for generations. They then announce they will look at The Blue Birds (in Minna no Rhythm Tengoku and Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise) or an altogether different species, the Eloquent Tapir (in Rhythm Heaven Fever), in the next tour.

Stomp Farmer (レシーブくん?, Receive-kun) is, of course, a farmer. His job is to stomp the ground to collect beetroots and get rid of moles in his way. He appears in Crop Stomp in Rhythm Heaven.

Story
Stomp Farmer works for Stomp and Chomp Agriculture Co., where he stomps vegetables out of the ground, then fligs them into the basket on his back. He loves his work, and is pretty handy at dealing with moles. He is multitalented and single. Calling the company's number on the Phone, (555) EAT-BEET, has Stomp Farmer pick up.
During the events of Crop Stomp, the company is in need of more workers. The Human Resources Dept. put up an advertisement asking for help binging in the harvest and dealing with the mole problem. The conditions don't discriminate by gender or age, but that applicants must have rhythm and be able to catch. They can take off any days they want, as long as they give notice, and are paid whatever amount they ask if it's not too much.

DJ Yellow and Student (ＤＪイエロー＆生徒?, DJ Ierō & Seito) are the members of the DJ School in Rhythm Heaven.

Story
The DJ School itself is advertised on a flier, as they are looking to recruit new DJs. It describes DJ Yellow as a "friendly, courteous, and strangely yellow instructor". The school itself would teach people how to fake breathtaking breaks, and pretend to pull off supertight pitch shifting, but leaves a disclaimer the school can only handle people who want to LOOK like DJs.

Student appears in Rhythm Tengoku Gold Comic 03 実験室の放課後の巻き (After school at the Laboratory by Maki), where the girl from the Love Lab is trying to confess her love to her senior lab partner, but ends up saying it to the Student by mistake. Student meets DJ Yellow in Rhythm Tengoku Gold Comic 06, 07 and 08, "DJ Going to Tokyo". In Part 1, the student meets the RAPMEN, who give him a card advertising the Battle of the Bands. In Part 2, he goes to the live house, where J.J. Rocker's student, the Tiny Ghosts and the Pop Singer are performing live. In Part 3, while the student is trying to watch the performance, he has a golden encounter with DJ Yellow, who offers him a drink before going live on stage. The student is impressed by DJ Yellow's performance, and later asks him to teach him to be a DJ.

DJ Yellow is known to have participated in the Battle of the Bands. The student appears to be working part-time at a fish market, as seen in Catch of the Day's Try Again epilogue. An image of the two can be seen in the books in Cheer Readers, and masks of them are worn in Lush Remix.

The Chorus Kids (コーラスメン?, Chorus Men) are three children in a choir together who are led by the Conductor (リーダー?, Leader). They appear in the Rhythm Game Glee Club.

The Conductor is a lion who wears all white clothes, except for his red tie, and he sports a white afro and a conductor's baton, similar to a Clappy Trio member.

Story
One day, while the Clappy Trio was performing on a street corner, one of the members saw another group nearby, a chorus that just couldn't get their act together, because the third member was so nervous that he couldn't stop singing out of turn. The clappy member decided to leave the Clappy Trio with consent from his colleagues and take the chorus under his wing as their conductor, but he claims to be just there to help them along as "They're the stars, and I try to stay out of their way."

Dough Dudes (ワークまん?, Workmen), known as Dough in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise, are four living pieces of dough working to transport various orbs in Working Dough in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Each pair of little and big dough appear to be treated as a singular entity.
Story
The Dough Dudes work to transport fuel orbs to refuel a ship leaving for Planet Dough. The veteran on the left teaches the rookie on the right how to do so. During this job, Mr. Game & Watch operates a lever controlling the gates from which the fuel orbs are transported. In the middle of the game, he leaves and takes a ride on one of the fuel orbs instead, and is later seen inside the ship. At the end, the final orb is transported, and the ship blasts off. After work, the workers have a conversation about the aftermath of their work. The veteran reveals he keeps See and Saw at the ready in case of emergencies, such as to fling Mr. Game & Watch back onto the ship after the rookie missed the fuel orb he was riding. The veteran and rookie seem to be good friends.

In Working Dough 2, they reside in teapots and transport fuel orbs in front of a large woman with a dough face, who is aided by some Space-Rabbits. Mr. Game & Watch's appearance in Working Dough is based on Mario's Cement Factory, while in Working Dough 2, it is based on Judge, while also dressed in a purple robe and holding what looks like a gardening tool.

Each of their names reflects the color of their hair and clothing. Ao means blue, Kii means yellow, and Aka means red. The symbols on their clothing represent the buttons you press to control them- Ao-kun, Kii-yan, and Aka-chan are controlled with Ⓑ, ✚, and Ⓐ, respectively.

Story
The Toss Boys are practicing for the world championship. They are specifically practicing their special moves, and are nervous when their name is called when it's time to do them, though their expressions don't change. The Toss Boys also have fun changing their hair styles and trying out new fashion. Ao-kun and Kii-yan have at least once participated in a manzai routine.

The Clappy Trio are three lions, sporting red afros and white disco suits. They enjoy to clap their hands in time to the beat of a song in turn. They are colored yellow-orange, their noses are red, and their afros are red with yellow sparkles on them. In The Snappy Trio, they appear in a wild west city set as part of a TV Western, and they wear blue suits with hats.
Story
The Clappy Trio made their debut long ago, and they have a surprisingly long artistic history. Their wigs were a gift from one of their fans, who moved soon after and never got to see the trio wear them. They performed mostly on street corners, mostly for spare change. Prior to their rise in popularity, they spent all their money from their previous 18 performances to buy fancy suits to improve their image, but they could only afford one for each.
They have gone by other names, but they're most recognizable as "The Clappy Trio" because it best connects with their performance. There were rumors that they wanted to change their name, and they soon made their debut again as "The Snappy Trio" as part of a TV Western, and they wear snappy suits to match. They considered trying to fit their afros under their hats in an effort to be recognized by the fan who gave them the afros as a gift. A lot of people were against the name, and there were rumors about them renaming again.

The Harry Onions are brown onions. They have big noses, big eyes with small pupils, whiskers, and big lips. They have darker yellow, vertical stripes over their bodies.

The Horace Turnips (rutabagas in the arcade version) are milan purple top turnips with swirly patterns. Yet again, they share the same facial features as the previously mentioned vegetable.

Lastly, the Homer Potatoes are russet potatoes with spots over them with their eyes close together in Rhythm Tengoku. They have the same eyes, noses, whiskers, and lips as the onions.
History
There is an old man who grows these vegetables. When the vegetables started growing hair, their price dropped and he was in big trouble. Plucking the hairs proved to be a difficult task, until one day, he decided to play music. He says that playing the music actually helped a ton, and made the plucking enjoyable.
In Crop Stomp, the Stomp Farmer collects the beetroots by stomping them out of the ground. Once they are picked, they get their hairs plucked off in Rhythm Tweezers. After that, the vegetables are eaten. Homer Potatoes and Harry Onions are used in soup[4]. Although it takes a lot of work to prepare the vegetables, they are very healthy. Their skins contain a lot of nutrients.

Karate Joe is characterized by his pale white skin, big nose, and balding head. He wears a karate suit that matches the color of his skin. He is barefoot. He is often described as very expressive and fearless. His Father has a tall, black, curly beehive haircut. He wears a black karate outfit with a red belt. He has a moustache, sunglasses, and is barefoot just like his son. The two of them are also shown eating a lot of food between training sessions.
History
Karate Joe is a lonely martial artist who struggles with his training. He seems to be developing his own unique karate style which incorporates rhythm. He has a very emotional personality, which can be seen in his many facial expressions. At the martial arts competitions, the opponent reads all his tricks, and he can't get results. Sometimes he goes to his master for advice, whose usual response is "You needed to focus on the basics."
Karate Joe has dreamed of being a soccer player even since he was a child, but his Father wanted him to master karate instead, and told him that he can't leave his house until he masters it. Even as an adult, Karate Joe still lives in the basement. His Father also stole the ball that Joe had bought and used it as a punching bag

Father is a master at karate, but not cooking. Occasionally he makes dinner anyway, such as one day when Karate Joe's mother was out of the house, and asks his son if he likes it. Joe has to lie and say that he likes it to make him feel good

Father got his son bombs to make him face his fears. At first, Karate Joe thought they were fake, but then one exploded. He still vividly remembers his Father's face as he said "Are you surprised?"[6] Karate Joe has no idea where his father got them from

Father keeps a bunch of barrels around, but Karate Joe has no idea why. He asked multiple times, but was told that he can only know when he is stronger than his father.
