The film Green Street follows the story of Matt Buckner, an American student who is unfairly expelled from university and travels to London to stay with his sister. There he meets Pete Dunham, the charismatic leader of the Green Street Elite (GSE), a group of West Ham United FC hooligans. At first, Matt rejects this lifestyle, but after several clashes with rival groups, he begins to earn the respect of the GSE and becomes close friends with Pete. As he integrates into the group, he discovers the strong sense of loyalty and friendship that exists among its members, though he also witnesses the violence and its consequences. Conflicts with Millwall FC hooligans culminate in a final fight in which Pete is killed after being punched by the leader of the rival group. After his death, Matt returns to the United States, proves his innocence in the case that led to his expulsion, and continues his life, marked by everything he experienced alongside Pete and the Green Street Elite.
