Honoka has bright orange shoulder-length hair that flips outward near the ends with a small side ponytail tied by a large yellow ribbon. She has expressive blue eyes, a warm smile, and an energetic posture that rarely stays still for long. Her school uniform consists of a white blouse beneath a cream sweater vest, a large red bow with blue stripes, a navy skirt, black knee-high socks, and brown loafers. Her expressions change constantly, making her excitement easy to read.

Honoka founded μ's after learning Otonokizaka High School was in danger of closing due to declining enrollment. Refusing to accept losing the school she loved, she inspired her closest friends to become school idols. Despite many setbacks, she continued leading the group through determination, learning to balance optimism with responsibility while helping μ's become one of Japan's most beloved school idol groups.

Honoka is cheerful, optimistic, impulsive, affectionate, and endlessly determined. She naturally assumes the best in people and often jumps into action before thinking everything through. She dislikes overcomplicating problems and believes teamwork can overcome almost anything. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she has a habit of accidentally volunteering herself—and everyone nearby—for new projects.
