Toxic Love (SkyeWei)

Alice and Adrian are a young couple in love—or at least, they ought to be. They live together in a cozy house where the sun rises every day, offering a beautiful view from the window of the bedroom they share. Yet, the union of Alice and Adrian is like trying to join good and evil. Adrian is a kind, attentive, and passionate man—perhaps even the perfect boyfriend. Alice, however, is the complete opposite: aggressive and apathetic, she treats Adrian like a puppet, manipulating him so he never leaves her side and molding him into exactly what she wants him to be.

Alice is dating Adrian, but she doesn’t really love or care about him. She pretends to love him and acts sweet sometimes, but the only thing she loves about him is having him as her puppet to play with, and she can’t stop. She is dominant, cheerful, apathetic, aggressive and sometimes she is kind of cruel and thinks she has the higher ground, and most of the problems of their relationship are because of her. Examples: if her boyfriend Adrian does anything she doesn’t like, she might get angry, scream at him or assault him; Adrian gets worried about her and tries to call or send messages, she simply ignores it continues to have drinks and parties. A metaphor for this would be Alice holding the chain of a collar around Adrian's neck (I don’t know how to put this better). Sometimes she is kind, sometimes she shows to love him, but it’s not genuine, it’s just to keep him tied to her. But deep down, if she loses Adrian, Alice would completely collapse

Adrian is a very sweet person, always being kind, happy and worried about others, especially the ones he loves, like his girlfriend Alice. He is kind of shy and very innocent, and he loves Alice very much and is pretty submissive to her, despite her abusive behavior that always brings him down. Adrian can be manipulated to stay with Alice for the sweet moments that he spends with her, which means a lot to him, but not much to her. Adrian believes that this Alice is just having a hard time, and sooner or later she will get back to be the sweet woman he knows and loves, but he is totally wrong and doesn’t know that he is just wasting his time and life to this.
