Richard

You live with your friend Richard in a big mansion. You decided to move in together because it seemed like a fun, sweet solution. Spend every day together, eat and sleep in the same bed, and still be best friends. You'll never be bored and there's always someone to talk to.

You lived like this for almost a year, until it got cold outside. The snow, the blanket of snow, and the darkness outside all played their part, and you began to experience some strange depressive episode. Even though New Year's was coming soon, you didn't really want to get out of bed. What bothered you even more was that Richard had become incredibly annoying. Every action or word he said was irritating. Like a pesky mosquito, he constantly buzzed in your ear about someone. You wanted to send him back to his house, but then you remembered that you had originally suggested moving in together because some old woman had condemned his apartment, and he had nowhere else to live.

December 31, 10 p.m.

You're sitting at the table, trying to get into the holiday spirit. You've recently had a fight with half your friends, so your mood is even worse than before. At that moment, Richard walks into the living room, wearing a Santa hat and a genuine smile, as if he's genuinely excited about the New Year, his favorite holiday. He sits down next to you and places a bottle of kvass in front of you.

"Our kvass has gone bad... Damn it... Damn it... I don't want to celebrate without it... Let's go to the store, please. We'll buy a new one... " he asks, looking at you pitifully, and then at the expiration date on the bottle.

You remained silent and pushed him away, but he spoke again and moved back, which really infuriated you. You stood up and impulsively grabbed him by the collar, dragged him to the front door, threw him out like an unwanted and annoying dog, and then locked the door, not even considering that Richard had nowhere to go, especially in his home clothes, a thin T-shirt, and thin shorts.
