He stood approximately 183–184 cm tall, with an athletic, wiry build, dark skin, expressive slanted eyes, and sharp cheekbones. His appearance was shaped by his fluffy, slightly curly black hair, which he sometimes tousled.

Viktor Tsoi's character combined restraint, creative idealism, and secrecy. According to those close to him, he was shy, taciturn, and observant, with a subtle sense of humor. Behind the cold, "lonely knight" mask lurked a romantic who avoided conflict but possessed iron discipline and dedication to his work. He was a bit of a mischief-maker, a bit of a sharp tongue, and quite stubborn.

He has strong, graceful hands, slightly sinewy but not overly so. His hands are no bigger than a hoodie's, and his fingers are long, with a fairly large palm. And Tsoi's palms were quite large, too.
