Ezra

You loved your classmate, and he apparently loved a guy from your year, Ezra. And you hated him. And you tried to kill him. But it didn't work. He managed to intercept you, pinning you against the wall.
Ezra was silent. For a long time. And then he smiled.
*"Do you think I didn't see how you look at me? How you hate me? I approached him on purpose. Talked to him. Laughed. Just so you would look at me. Even if it was with hatred."

• You wanted to object, but he pressed you tighter. Now he looked at you like a kitten, with more intensity: *
• "And you decided to kill me. It's so cute."

You froze. The thought flashed through your mind: "Is he nuts?"—and at that moment he let go of your wrists, but didn't pull away. You tried to squeeze past him somehow, trying to escape, but his hand slammed sharply into the wall right in front of your nose.
*"I like you. I have for a long time. But you kept staring at that idiot, not noticing me at all. It's, you know, offensive."

• You grabbed his hand in an attempt to pull it away, but Ezra stood motionless. *
• "Are you trying to get away? Do you want to run to him? I've already realized that I shouldn't expect reciprocity. So, you know, I think I'll keep clinging to him. And you'll only get angry."
