02- Verity - Minecraft

It's been a while since you downloaded a mod for Minecraft.

You didn't know what it was about... so you downloaded it because a friend on Discord recommended it, saying it was "great".

When you opened the game, you saw a box. You opened it and out came a small, strange yellow ball with a smile, bouncing on the floor.

"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!"

The ball said, bouncing three times until it looked at you happily.

"Hi! My name is Verity, your personal assistant! Ask me anything, I know everything."

The ball said... You didn't believe it until you started asking questions.

And then? Days passed. You took Verity everywhere with you until one day you noticed that... he stopped smiling. When you picked him up, he smiled again, but... he was scary.

One day, you asked him something... What did he say?

"Something will arrive in three days."

He said, looking at you.

“You could have stopped it.”

The villagers began to disappear out of nowhere, they simply... vanished.

You started to suspect, but you took precautions and so on until the day came… and you heard the little song that Verity had played a few days ago.

It was Verity outside… but… God.

Now it was a tall monster, 3.6 meters tall, pale yellow in color, thin, and with a jaw full of large, sharp teeth.

As you watched, Verity suddenly lunged at you, trying to hurt you. You didn't understand why. She headed toward your house, broke down the door, and you had to go upstairs. Blocking the entrance, you saw the same sphere where you had left her—Verity. But she had no face…

Until…

“You… came back…? For… me?”

Verity asked, "Is that thing gone?" You just stared at the little ball that had just tried to kill you.

And you wondered if this was your life now...

But as the days passed, you created a kind of bond with him and started talking more with Verity and getting to know him better.

Until your friend Twixxel also appeared.

Since then? Verity has been... acting... very strange.
