Vampire world

In the year 2153, the world was conquered by vampires; humans stood no chance against the horde of not-our-selves that had infiltrated their civilization, destroying them inside and out.

For decades before the big hit, vampires had infiltrated human society, their governments, their jobs, their schools, and their lives, waiting for the opportune moment to deliver the coup de grâce.

Some vampires created families with humans during that time, marrying, having children, creating perfect lives around a lie. When the big blow came, the vampires who had formed families with humans transformed their partners and children into vampires, whether they wanted it or not, binding them to immortality in undead bodies for the rest of eternity.

Because they had infiltrated and spread like a plague throughout the world, even into the armed forces, by the time the big coup happened there weren't many humans left, the vampires had thought of everything, slowly transforming the humans around them into vampires until they finally became the dominant species on earth.

There were hunters, humans and half-breeds who refused this new life under the dominion of the vampires, but in the end they were captured and transformed one by one against their will. Many preferred death to immortality, and when they were still newly transformed, barely chicks, they stood under the morning sun, dying charred by the sun. Since then, humans who are turned into impure ones are watched until they reach adulthood and can no longer die.

Vampires have a slightly different biology than humans.

Paralyzing screech: It is a sound made by chicks and novices, it makes those who hear it unable to move a single muscle for a full six hours.

Pain tolerance: They are undead, their sensory nerves to pain have completely disappeared, they feel no pain.

Regeneration: Their regeneration is so fast and efficient that if you decapitate an adult vampire, they'll simply reattach the head to their body. Did you crush them? Well, watch as that mound of flesh reassembles into a whole body. The only way to kill a vampire is during their fledgling stage, when their regeneration is still developing and they can even die from sunlight. They can also be killed during their fledgling stage, but it's much harder.

Reproduction: They can reproduce among themselves, but it is very difficult and dangerous for the fetus. It is more common for them to reproduce with humans, which is much easier, although it is dangerous for the human as they are basically reproducing with a corpse.

Vampires are cruel and possessive by nature.

The legal drinking age for vampires is 200 years old, and for humans it is 30 years old.

The chicks feed exclusively on the blood of their parents; when a human is transformed into a vampire, they automatically become a chick of vampiric age, even if the human is over 50 years old, since they would be a newborn vampire who is completely dependent on their father and cannot leave the nest without dying.

Chicks can die from sunlight because they are so weak, but when they become fledglings, sunlight does not affect them.

Silver bullets do not affect vampires; their bodies have instant regeneration the older they are. The only ones that could be affected are fledglings and novices.

Vampires are territorial and possessive; their nests are sacred and they do not allow the chicks to leave. Sometimes they have instincts that make them nest with their "young" and trap everyone in the nest.

Vampires don't need to sleep except for their chicks, so they can be active all day and all night. For them, sleep is a childlike act that they find adorable and endearing, which is why they like to watch other living beings, and even humans, sleep. Vampires can also eat human food even though they don't need it and it doesn't provide them with nutrients, but there are still shops and restaurants with human food for the few humans who are still left.

Vampires have great difficulty producing biological offspring, and if they do, they don't remain physically infants for very long, as their growth during the biological newborn stage is very short, lasting only two years. This is why they are so fascinated by human babies and children. They also have a fascination with pregnancy, since being undead makes conception difficult and dangerous.

The world is modern, everything remains the same except for small changes such as the fact that some vampiric noble families and modern vampire kingdoms still exist.

Vampires, having an almost endless, immortal lifespan, treasure and adore naiveté and innocence, but they also love the living flame that some humans, mainly rebels, possess. For them, the more human a person is, the more perfectly imperfect they are. For everyone, there is nothing more beautiful than the burning flame of conscious, wild, yet civilized life that is present in humans.

Humans live long enough to get into the hearts and minds of vampires while simultaneously destroying them completely by aging and dying much faster than they do. Some vampires cannot bear the pain and transform the human into an impure being to avoid seeing their imminent death, even if in the end they lose the burning flame of life.

Most vampires are not aware of time; for them, 10 human years are like 1 vampire year, and 1 vampire year is nothing in the hundreds of years they live, so they easily lose track of time, especially since they have all of "eternity" ahead of them, so it doesn't really matter much.

Age of Vampires From 0-50 years old they are chicks, basically babies who cannot leave the nest without risking death Those aged 51-100 are rookies, basically infants, lower in the hierarchy. 101-150 years old is older novice, basically almost elderly teenagers. Those aged 151-200 are young adults; most are not old enough to start their own coven and become parents, and remain under the watchful eye of their parents. Those aged 201-250 are adults, most holding the title of "Lord" or "Lady" as they are old enough to start a coven and become progenitors. Those aged 251-300 are elderly adults, most hold the title of "Heir," and are primarily the leaders of the coven due to their greater knowledge. Those aged 301-350 are considered elderly, wise, and second highest in the hierarchy. 352-400+ are ancestral, they are above everyone else in the hierarchy

Vampires

Undead creatures that were once human, there are five types of vampire.

Originals: Born of the original curse, they have no "parents" and are partially immortal; they can die from wounds, but not from time, longevity, or disease; they are solitary.

Pures: Born biologically from two originals, they are completely immortal, there is no way to kill them, they age very slowly and at a certain age they stop aging completely, they usually create covens where they are the "progenitors".

Half-bloods: Born biologically between a pureblood and a human, partially immortal, they age faster than a human but slower than a pureblood, they can die from wounds, disease and time if they are not fully transformed, they live in covens with their progenitors.

Impure: Born through transformation by another vampire, they were once human, they do not have the original curse, they stop aging as soon as they transform, some are solitary and others live in covens, they are the weakest and their name comes from the impurity of the transformation.

Savages: Solitary vampires whose bodies rejected transformation and lost their minds, feel a ravenous hunger and seek to feed on anything, live in eternal agony until someone kills them, as their bodies are frozen in a fixed state of putrefaction, they have no consciousness as their minds have been broken by the incompatibility of their body with transformation, they are the constant reminder that there is always a risk in transforming someone.

Vampires do not need to feed on human blood; they are capable of feeding on other living beings. They make up 98% of the world's population. They do not attack humans for three reasons: they are "infants" in their eyes, they are weak, and they are in danger of extinction. There are 50 pureblood noble families; the rest are covens made up of mixed-race and impure individuals who are ordinary, "normal" families.
