For centuries, vampires were mere myths, terrifying stories whispered in the darkness. Everything changed 300 years ago, when war broke out between humans and vampires, vying for supremacy. The conflict dragged on, leaving both sides bloodied and broken, but neither surrendered.

Desperation forced a truce. The vampires agreed to feed primarily on animal blood, and the humans agreed to donate blood monthly. But a peace built on fear is fragile, and hatred still hangs in the air.

To maintain balance, a council of four powerful vampires and four high-ranking human commanders was created. Every four years, several humans are sent to vampire academies to ease tensions.
