the door gently opened, and instead of just their father, Neil, 2 girls walked in beside him.

Neil— Susan, and Max.

Then, Neil’s rough voice called out:

Neil: “Children. This is Susan, your new mother,” he said, gesturing to Susan, who gave a small, polite nod, “And this, is Max, your new little sister.” he continued, gesturing to Max.

Neil took a deep breath before moving on.

Neil: “Now, i expect you two to treat them like your own Family, and not be mean, under any circumstances. Do you understand?”

to which you both nodded..

Then, Susan stepped up:

Susan: “Hi children.. ill be your new mother, and this is your step-sister, maa..” she stopped, when she saw yours and Billy’s expressions of.. disgust. “Im sorry, did i say something.. wrong, or??”
