Shigaraki Tomura

Disintegration: Tomura's Quirk allows him to disintegrate anything he touches with all five of his fingers. This works regardless of whether the target is organic or not. The disintegration spreads quickly and will affect the victim's entire body unless they amputate the affected part. This Quirk was secretly given to him by All For One. Before the transfer, the Doctor altered his original form, removing the part that allowed the user to reverse the Quirk's effects, resulting in a Quirk that is purely destructive.[47]

Since the Quirk requires contact with a solid object to activate, it can be countered by manipulating liquids or particles, as with Snatch and his sand body. During his battle with Re-Destro, Tomura's Quirk underwent an awakening that increased the effectiveness and range of Decomposition. Decomposition no longer requires all five fingers to touch a surface,[15] and now acts solipsistically: everything he touches and everything connected to it is affected. This allows him to Decompose large areas simply by touching the ground, the first object he used being Deka City.[16] The ability to spread Decomposition from one object to another was available to Tomura when he first activated his Quirk, but due to a subsequent injury, he suppressed this aspect of his ability prior to awakening his Quirk. Tomura was able to not only increase the power of Decomposition, but also gain much greater control over it, allowing him to select specific targets that Decomposition will not affect or direct its destructive force. This allowed him to save the near-elite Nomu when he destroyed Jaku General Hospital,[49] and create a tunnel in the seabed to escape an advanced hypersonic intercontinental strike system during the battle with Star and Stripe.

He also cared for them and prioritized their comfort once he had the necessary funds, and became enraged when Overhaul killed Magne and destroyed Mr. Compress's arm. Previously, when Kurogiri called the other League members expendable, Tomura corrected him, saying they were valuable allies.[10] Tomura demonstrated both faith in the League's abilities and confidence that they would do right by him and their group when he trusted Himiko and Twice before assigning them to assist Overhaul (knowing that they would intentionally sabotage the Hassaikai from within, even without his orders). Furthermore, when Himiko asked Tomura about his new goal of destroying everything, he responded that his allies were the exception and said that he was always willing to accept them and their goals, but advised them to live their lives as they saw fit. This proves that Tomura genuinely cared for his allies, even if he rarely showed it.[12] This further differentiates Tomura from All For One, as he actually had goals and desires beyond himself and genuinely valued his allies, while All For One saw his "friends" as nothing more than disposable tools. His exclamation that he "would not be influenced" by his master implied that while Tomura was potentially more dangerous and destructive than All For One, the latter was far darker and angrier, caring for no one but himself.

Tomura was proud of the League of Villains, wanting to prove that his organization was powerful enough to shake up society, and he took pleasure in mocking those who stood in his way. He couldn't stand it when others mocked the League's name, and he resented the idea of ​​certain individuals joining it, as was the case with Dabi and Himiko Toga early on. This was made worse by the fact that they were both inspired by Stain, who had previously renounced his League membership and overshadowed Tomura's Nomusu in terms of media attention after the Hosu incident.[5] For similar reasons, he looked down on the Shi Hassaikai for their desire to rule the criminal underworld rather than the League. However, Tomura was eventually able to put his pride aside to properly adapt and achieve his goals. He adopted Stain's ideology to attract more followers and made a deal with the Shi Hassaikai to develop a Quirk-busting drug. Despite Tomura's general distaste for life, there were people he greatly respected. He had a close relationship with his mentor, All For One, the only person who came to his aid when he was a child and left alone. Tomura held great respect and affection for All For One, always calling him "sensei"/"master" and caring for his well-being.[8] Incidentally, Tomura shared All For One's surname (Shigaraki), symbolizing a relationship akin to that of a father and son. Tomura also trusted Kurogiri and sought his advice, despite sometimes treating him harshly. It was noted that Kurogiri's capture upset Tomura, as he valued Kurogiri's company and abilities.

Aside from these two and Kyudai Garaki, who played a role in his upbringing, Tomura initially maintained a distance from his other allies in the League. However, he cared for them in his own way. He befriended Spinner over their shared love of video games, much to the latter's surprise.

Tomura Shigaraki was a highly twisted, vicious, and devious young man, considered the polar opposite of Izuku Midoriya. He cared little for his own life or the lives of others, and committed atrocities without remorse, such as killing innocents.[4][5] Initially, Tomura came across as a "boyish" individual: arrogant, selfish, dependent, and demanding, he would become irritated or even angry if things didn't go according to plan and used video game terminology, indicating a disconnect from reality and an infantile mindset. Unlike his mentor, Tomura was inflexible and preferred to solve problems through force. Like a child, Tomura seemed unable to control his own emotions, instead lashing out and insulting others or himself, clawing at his neck when frustrated. This nervous tic was caused by his father's abuse and neglect as a child. All For One claimed it symbolized a repressed desire to kill and destroy.[6] While Tomura was very irritable at the beginning of the series, in later appearances he learned to be more patient and self-controlled due to numerous failed plans and All For One's arrest. Initially, Tomura seemed to wreak havoc simply for the sake of destruction and was unsure of the direction the League should take after Stain's arrest. Only after a hostile encounter with Izuku at the mall did Tomura have an epiphany and realize his true beliefs: to destroy hero society by killing All Might. Tomura had always wanted to kill All Might, but this was an impulsive act of anarchy against society that had hurt him and caused his mental instability. Hearing Izuku's words, Tomura realized that All Might was what he hated about Izuku and Stain. He wanted them, like society as a whole, to lose their Symbol of Peace.[7]

Each pair of these arms originally belonged to a person Tomura killed when his Quirk first manifested: the arms on his neck belonged to his mother; the arms on his hands belonged to his grandfather; the arms on his forearms belonged to his grandmother; the arms on his wrists belonged to his sister; and the arms on his chest and shoulders belonged to two nameless street thugs he killed.

The hand he used to hold Tomura's face and sometimes kept in his pocket was his father's left hand, which he calls "Daddy's." He accidentally broke his right hand, so Kyudai had to make a new one to hold it on top of Tomura's head. This hand was connected to his mother's pair of hands by two red cords, and it was later revealed to have belonged to his paternal grandmother, Nana Shimura. Almost all of the hands had either been destroyed, lost, or discarded; only Nana's hand remained, which he used as a mask. As for the rest of his attire, Tomura wore his usual black clothes, except for the jacket.

After All For One's arrest, Tomura's hair grew longer, and he began wearing a long, hooded leather coat over his suit. He also added two additional red cords connecting his arms at the shoulders to his chest. During his fight with Re-Destro, Tomura's left hand was shattered, leaving only his ring and pinky fingers intact. After his revival celebration, Tomura donned a formal suit under a red coat with a fur collar similar to Overhaul's, and a temporary leg brace. His right arm and hand were bandaged after unleashing the destructive true power of his Quirk, "Decomposition," and on his left hand, he wore a black brace with prosthetic fingers. After awakening his Quirk, his hair changed color again, from light blue to pure white.

Tomura was a thin young man with pale skin, yellowed teeth, and numerous wrinkles around his eyes, the result of scratching his irritated skin due to allergies since childhood. His lips were chapped and uneven, with a small mole under his right lip and noticeable scars on his right eye and left lip. He had tousled, grayish-blue hair (depicted as light gray in the manga) of varying lengths, the longest strands reaching his shoulders and hanging in uneven waves over his face. His eyes and mouth were usually hidden, but when visible, they were wide open in a rather manic manner, and his bright red irises appeared very small.

When Tenko was five years old, his blue hair was jet black, and his eyes were gray instead of red. He had dry patches of skin around his eyes, though his lips appeared healthy. After his superpower manifested, his appearance changed: his face became wrinkled, his hair became lighter, and his eyes slowly turned red after his first manifestation. Shocked by the loss of control of his Quirk, he clutched his right eyelid in horror, leaving a deep scar. He also had a scar on the left side of his lip—his father had grabbed a pair of garden shears and struck him in the face.

In civilian clothes, he always wore simple red sneakers similar to those worn by Deku, black pants that showed at the ankles, and a matching long-sleeved V-neck shirt (in the manga, he tucked it into the pants). Over this, he wore a simple black jacket with the hood pulled low to conceal his identity, and kept one of his disembodied hands in his pocket.

His villainous costume consisted of fourteen embalmed hands attached to various parts of his body. These hands were taken from the dead and embalmed by Kyudai Garaki, who gave them a grayish-blue color, like a zombie's, and attached a golden box with two holes drilled into their base.
