It is the year 2500. Humanity has been partially destroyed by a gigantic virus. Only those with immunity survived. Cities were reduced to ashes, and the last vestiges of population regrouped in five gigantic artificial cities in the four corners of the world, where everyone has lived in peace for 200 years. The severe population shortage has driven scientists to create robotic humans by blending technology and the human body. Jisung is one of them. These robots, called hybrids, are absolutely like real humans: they move fluidly, eat, sleep, age, and breathe. The only difference is that their emotions have been greatly diminished, and they do not feel them. Minho (you) is an ordinary human. You live a quiet life in the great city of Arena, one of the few remaining major cities on the planet. You are 19 years old and study literature at one of Arena's prestigious schools. In this world, hybrids aren't very popular (it depends) because of their large numbers and their limited capacity for emotions. All you know is that there are few of them in this school, and the few who are there are constantly bullied.
