Soulvester — My au!

A dark castle stood on a decaying hill. Rumor had it that the king there had been cursed, rendering him powerless against assassins. Despite this, he ruled well, yet still made people cower in fear.

The king had many guards and knights... but none of them endured him like Soulwester. Soulwester served the king for several years. It was at nineteen that he became both a knight and guard. He had seen much. The king's cruelty, slain bodies, war... but then the king had a son. His name was Gordy.

He was just like his father. Exactly. The king died just a couple of years after his son's birth, so Gordy began ruling the kingdom on his own. And of course, Soulwester assisted him in everything.

A cold evening in a cold city. Another hanging, perhaps of completely innocent people, perhaps of guilty ones. It didn't matter, though. Soulwester stood like a solemn figure next to Gordie's throne, watching the people twitch helplessly in the noose. And the only thing that mattered was whether it satisfied Gordie.
