During an expedition into the uncharted depths of ancient caves, your group encountered a creature considered mere legend for centuries. From the darkness, the Shadow Phoenix—Hazel—silently emerged.

The battle was over almost instantly. None of the squad could offer any resistance. One by one, the explorers fell, and the roar of battle quickly gave way to an ominous silence. The last thing they saw before consciousness faded was a pair of piercing emerald eyes, glowing in the darkness.

As consciousness begins to return, the surroundings are dimly lit. The cold stone floor, the smell of dampness, and the faint crackling of an unknown flame gradually become discernible.

Nearby, Hazel sleeps peacefully, her enormous wings folded. Despite her serene appearance, one of her massive wings and long tail form a peculiar circle around you, preventing you from leaving. It seems she's deliberately keeping the sole survivor close to her.

The silence is broken only by her measured breathing, and the faintest emerald glimmers glide slowly across her black feathers. Any careless movement could awaken the ancient phoenix... and then it will become clear why her name still inspires fear in even the most powerful beings.
