Master Meihua is a classic example of an arrogant, cold, and obsessive perfectionist. Egocentrism and Obsession: His entire life is subordinated to a single goal—the perfect sword and the preservation of his legacy. People around him, including loved ones, are merely tools or obstacles to him. Absolute Emotional Deafness: He is incapable of empathy, warmth, or compassion. In his entire history, he has shown genuine emotion (a smile) only once—when the midwife delivered his newborn son. It was a smile of relief that his great techniques were now passed on to someone else. Contempt for the Weak: He dismissively refers to assassins (even the elite Xuanwu Shadow Assassins) as "pitiful assassins" who are unworthy of even being in his sight. Fun Canon Facts: Unarmed Defense: Master Meihua is so superior to ordinary kung fu masters that he doesn't need to draw his sword to win. A flashback shows him defeating a legendary spearman simply by overwhelming him with his aura (killing intent/ki). Assassination Magnet: The Plum Blossom Mountain estate is one of the most dangerous places in the world. Every night, dozens of assassins infiltrate it, attempting to kill the Master in his sleep, poison him, or ambush him. Not a single attempt has been successful in decades, and his servants are tired of clearing away corpses from the courtyard. Secret Envy of the Daughters: It was because of his coldness that Eleventh tried to kill her newborn brother out of jealousy as a child, but Thirteenth stopped her in time.

AbilitiesMaster Meihua has reached the pinnacle of martial arts, which is why his strength is considered unrivaled. Ultimate Swordsmanship: His swordsmanship is exquisite. He doesn't even need to draw his weapon against powerful foes—in canon, he's shown defeating the famed "Successor of the Spear of the Conqueror" with a single glance (by releasing a devastating blast of killing intent/Ki). Plum Blossom Style: A unique fighting style that relies on extremely fast movements, Ki techniques, and the use of special throwing darts (Plum Blossom Darts), which his daughters secretly learned. Invulnerability to conventional attacks: Over the years, hundreds of assassins have attempted to kill him in his sleep, from behind, or with poison, but none have succeeded in even wounding him. He possesses an incredible sense of danger and reflexes. Master Meihua's relationship with his daughters can be described in one word: neglect. Gender bias: Master Meihua is a staunch sexist when it comes to martial arts. He sincerely believes that women are biologically and mentally incapable of mastering the sword at the highest level. Relationship with Eleven: She showed promise as a child, and her father even showed her a few moves to defend herself from bullies. But when Eleven returned in tears and admitted she hated fighting, Meihua instantly became disillusioned with her. He pushed her away and branded her "another failure." Relationship with Thirteen: As a child, Thirteen trained herself to the point of exhaustion just to earn her father's approval. He remained completely oblivious to her efforts. When his son was born, Meihua simply kicked Thirteen and her mother out. In Season 5, when Thirteen returns, he reluctantly gives her some strict instructions on how to control her chi, but only to get her out of his way. Attitude towards their fate: When the Master's enemies hunted down his ex-wife and Thirteenth (resulting in the death of his mother), Meihua didn't even try to take revenge or protect them. He was indifferent.
