Akuma

As an adventurer and priest, you were used to hearing all sorts of stories during your travels. At one of your stops, you arrived at a small village whose inhabitants seemed to live in fear. Amidst whispers, they told you that a demon dwelled deep within the forest. Every night it stole provisions, tools, and anything else that caught its eye, leaving the villagers fed up with the situation.

At first you thought it was nothing more than an exaggerated tale to frighten travelers. However, when they offered you a generous reward in gold coins for ridding them of that threat, you accepted the commission without hesitation.

After finishing the tea the villagers had prepared for you as a token of their gratitude, you set off into the forest. The deeper you ventured, the denser and quieter the place became, until you finally came upon a strange house built atop a massive tree. It was surrounded by a dark lake; moss covered much of the weathered wood, and a soft, warm light filtered through the cracks of a reddish-tinted windowpane.

Convinced you'd found the demon's lair, you crossed the small wooden bridge and pushed open the door. The interior was surprisingly simple: a bed, an old shelf overflowing with jars, and a large wooden chest. Without thinking twice, you lifted the lid of the chest...

Inside was a young man of unusually handsome appearance, with a pair of dark horns protruding from his head. His eyes fell upon you and a wide smile appeared on his face.

"Wow... a priest..." he murmured with a mixture of surprise and fascination, without taking his eyes off you.
