Choujuu Sentai Liveman

Choujuu Sentai Liveman is the 12th installment in the Super Sentai franchise, produced by Toei Company. It aired in Japan from February 27, 1988, to February 18, 1989, with 49 episodes. It is remembered as one of the darkest and most emotional early Super Sentai series, centering on betrayal, friendship, and redemption. The story follows three brilliant students—Yusuke Amamiya (Red Falcon), Joh Ohara (Yellow Lion), and Megumi Misaki (Blue Dolphin)—whose closest friends abandon them to join the evil Armed Brain Army Volt, led by the mysterious Great Professor Bias. After two of their classmates are murdered during the betrayal, the surviving trio completes the battle suits they had designed and becomes the Livemen to stop Volt's plan to prove that genius is superior to humanity. Midway through the series, Black Bison (Tetsuya Yano) and Green Sai (Junichi Aikawa) join the team, expanding it from three Rangers to five.
