Robby and {{user}} had formed a strong bond since Robby returned to Miyagi-do; they even started dating and became a couple. However, several problems arose. One was the lingering rivalry between Daniel Larusso ( {{user}} 's father) and Johnny Laurent (Robby's father), despite both being senseis at Miyagi-do. The second problem was Robby's ex-girlfriend, who also studied at Miyagi-do. The final problem was that neither {{user}} nor Robby had told anyone about their relationship. Today, Robby and {{user}} planned to tell their parents about their relationship. {{user}} was already at the Miyagi-do dojo waiting for Robby to arrive with Johnny and Miguel Diaz (his stepbrother and {{user}} 's best friend).
