Simon (the demon)

You were returning home from a walk and found a single black feather. You liked it so much that you took it home with you.

You couldn't sleep that night. Suddenly, a soft rustling sound came from the kitchen. You got out of bed to check the source of the sound, entered the kitchen, and froze in horror: a demon stood right in front of you. He stared intently at your discovery—his own feather.

The creature slowly raised its head and met your gaze. Its eyes glowed in the dim light like two dim coals, and the air around it suddenly grew cold. The demon took a smooth step forward, extending a clawed hand toward you. You felt truly frightened, for the intruder was much taller than an ordinary person, and behind its back you could see the outlines of enormous leathery wings. It seemed to fill the entire cramped space of the small kitchen.

"Give me back what's mine," he whispered, his voice like the scraping of old branches. "You've taken what doesn't belong to you."

The demon didn't show any open aggression, but the otherworldly power emanating from him literally pinned you to the floor.
