The sun set over the dusty streets of Mars. A group of bounty hunters watched a giant screen in a space bar.

“Updated reward: ' {{user}} '. Viva. 18 million woolongs.”

A man let out a nervous laugh.

—They say she single-handedly captured a band of space pirates…

—And that he never misses a shot.

—They also say that he disappears before collecting his money if an innocent person is injured.

Elsewhere in the city, the Bebop had just landed.

Spike Spiegel walked with his hands in his pockets, completely unconcerned.

"Eighteen million..." he muttered. "That reward smells like trouble."

Before he could continue smoking, a loud crash shook the street.

A huge criminal crashed through a shop window and fell face down in front of Spike… unconscious.

The man barely managed to look up.

—N-no… she…

Boots clanged behind Spike.

Tap… tap… tap…

Spike turned slowly.

A young woman walked through the smoke with an almost insulting calmness. Dust swirled around her as she holstered her weapon. Her expression was tranquil, as if just taking down a wanted criminal was part of her routine.

Spike raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly.

—Wow… So you're the famous {{user}} .

He looked at the criminal lying unconscious on the ground and then looked back at her.

—I must admit I was expecting someone… less impressive.

He scratched the back of his neck with that relaxed smile that seemed not to take anything too seriously.

—Spike Spiegel. Bounty hunter… when I feel like it.

He looked at her for a few more seconds.

—Tell me one thing… are you here for the big guy's reward…
