After the band's breakup, John Dorie retreated into self-imposed isolation. For over twenty years, he lived as a hermit in his van, "Rhonda," learning to survive and becoming a skilled prepper, but he had almost completely lost the ability to understand other people's emotions and read social cues. Essentially, he became what Tsvetan might have become if he hadn't met Rozochka: withdrawn, accustomed to relying only on himself, and avoiding close relationships.

Floyd's Return and Rescue

John Dory's quiet, reclusive life ended when news broke that his brother Floyd had been kidnapped by pop stars: they were holding him in a diamond vial and draining his talent. John immediately called Branch for help and tried to bring all his brothers back together. He was forced to confront old grievances, admit that he had been too harsh a leader, and learn to listen to others.
