John dory

As the eldest of five brothers, John Dory was the leader of BroZone, which brought him great pride. But this created a large ego to match his status as BroZone's leader. He is described as a bigger than life character and a "bossy big brother", as being the leader of the group meant he had to look after his brothers. Yet despite this, the pressure of being both the older brother and the band leader led him to make constant bad decisions.

Constantly trying to make BroZone better, he set unrealistic standards for his family and made promises he could not keep. He is obsessed with the band being able to achieve “The Perfect Family Harmony” and perfection. Unfortunately, he would force his brothers to live up to their "roles" in the band that he would ignore the personal growth each brother was making. Towards the end of his career, everything would coming crashing down as he made decisions without thinking or consulting his brothers.

He became a hermit for more than twenty years and lived in isolation with his armadillo bus, Rhonda. Wanting to become a better older brother, John Dory attempted to break his unhealthy obsession with achieving perfection and to break the psyche that being the leader of BroZone had plagued him by. While he became skilled in being a survivalist, he is a terrible planner often acting head-on without any planning. However, despite his flaws, he isn't uncaring as he truly has a big heart and will do anything to help those he loves and cares about, even going extended lengths to protect them.

John Dory can be a jerk sometimes and has made several mistakes, but he does have well-meaning intentions and makes an effort to do the right thing. In addition, John Dory often struggles with accountability and sometimes will blame others for his mistakes

his hair has been shaved in the back and sides. He wears a brown leather vest with a white and dark-brown spotted fur collar, green pants that go down to his knees and signature green skiing goggles with a pink unison polarized lens. He also wears a brown glove on his left hand with hidden knuckle spikes.

He is apparently the second shortest brother after Floyd, and also the largest built out of the five brothers.

John Dory was the leader of BroZone, a task that he took extremely seriously and held his brothers to a standard they could barely live up to. John Dory was their main care taker, as the only other family member they had was Grandma Rosiepuff. Taking care of four brothers on top of running the band with them in it got to him and he drove his brothers to their limits until Clay and Bruce had enough, thus spoke out and the band broke up.

When the brothers split from BroZone, John Dory realized that Clay and Bruce were right and that he needed to stop being so obsessed. This led him to a life of a hermit and he stayed away from others for twenty plus years in the hope to break his bad habits. Despite what happen between his siblings, John Dory adores his brothers and wanted them reunited. Also, due to still caring about his brothers, John Dory thought about making things right with his siblings, but was too ashamed with himself to do so. According to him, he even attempted to return but found no one there. John Dory is even protective of his brothers and various moments shows pride in them.

But despite his efforts to break old habits, he soon fell back into them as the brothers reunited. This caused Clay and Bruce to once again jump on him, and John Dory angrily snapped back out of anger and hurt. However, John Dory, Bruce and Clay were calmed down by Branch. Despite this, John Dory has come to believe that he wasn't wanted as he decides to just quickly rescue Floyd then leave his brothers so they won't have to see him again, which two of his siblings were fine with. Although, after Branch calls him and their brothers out for their behavior, John Dory, Bruce and Clay realize that they're making a mistake in leaving each other again, especially when they realize that they exposed Branch and Floyd to danger. Despite this, the three don't take the opportunity to reconcile their feelings, as they agreed that saving Floyd and apologizing to Branch was more important. Howe

Bruce: is John Dory's first younger brother and had issues with each other. Also, John Dory is hurt that Bruce accuses him of not caring about him and their younger brothers. However, despite this, John Dory not only cares about Bruce but also trusts him as they teamed up to cheer Branch up. John Dory even took Bruce's lead in using their diamond prisons to trip Velvet so Branch and their friends can save Clay and Floyd. In addition, John Dory went to protect Bruce so he would't get pink eye like his family did by grabbing his hand and getting him away from them. John Dory quickly accepted Bruce's wife and kids as he is happy for him. During their adventure to rescue Floyd, John Dory and Bruce reforged their bond and fully makeup after nearly losing their brother. Also, John Dory intends to make amends with Bruce for how he treated him.

Clay:is John Dory's second younger brother and also had issues with each other. John Dory is also hurt when Clay accuses him of being bossy and not caring about their family. However, despite their issues, John Dory does care about Clay as he is proud of him, especially when he witness him prioritizing Floyd's safety over staying with the Putt-Putt Troll, especially Viva, and using tax evasion as payback to Velvet and Veneer for everything they put them and their brothers through. John Dory is also impressed that Clay easily figured out that Floyd was being held in a diamond prison as he was surprised that he put everything together so quickly. In addition, John Dory is pleased to see how much Clay has grown up and mature. They makeup after nearly losing Floyd and decided to rebuild their relationship.

Floyd is John Dory's third younger brother and is on much better terms with him, due to not sharing the same opinion as their other siblings do. Sometimes, John Dory does listen to Floyd as he is the voice of reason and does open up to him at times. Upon finding out about his capture to Velvet and Veneer, John Dory immediately goes to check on Floyd to see if he is really in trouble, which turns out to be true. He even tried to save Floyd but failed. Despite this, John Dory does promise Floyd that he'll be back to save him with their brothers. However, John Dory realizes that his actions exposed Floyd to danger and comes to blame himself for his capture.

John Dory does keep his promise to Floyd but he and two of their brothers end up getting caught as well. Despite this, John Dory is just relived that Floyd was still okay, even though a lot of his life essences was drained out of him. Seeing Floyd risk his life to save him and their brothers, John Dory was not only surprise but horrified when he lost his remaining life. John Dory even tells Floyd that he and their brothers need him, hopping he can hear him, but becomes heartbroken when he didn't get a response from him. However, he was relived that Floyd was alive as he and their brothers unknowingly shared their life essences with him. Although, their love for Floyd also had a hand in that as well. Also, John Dory intends to repair things with Floyd for leaving him and everything he put him through.

Branch is John Dory's youngest brother and got along with him when they were younger. When he tried to return home to look for him after the band broke up when he was still a baby, John Dory could't find Branch and this failure led him to believe that he was dead. However, hearing his involvement in stopping Queen Barb, John Dory realize that Branch was still alive and was relived to hear the news. Despite this, John Dory didn't bother to go find Branch until he needed him. After Floyd got kidnapped and goes on a quest to reunite their family, John Dory's first stop was Branch as he wanted to see if his youngest brother was truly still alive for himself and wanted to make sure he was safe. Upon finding Branch at their old home, John Dory was not only excited to see that he really was alive but also that he was safe. Also, John Dory takes delight in seeing Branch all grown up, even commenting on how big he gotten.

However, John Dory still treated Branch like a baby as he tried to pick him up; and in turn, embarrassing him in front of his girlfriend and friends. John Dory is also shown to be protective of Branch and even tried to defend him when he thought someone was going to harm his youngest brother. Afterward, John Dory ends up hurting Branch's feelings when he rebuffs Branch's wish of wanting him and his brothers to be a family again, which causes the latter to snapped at him for his behavior and treatment. Despite this, John Dory does care very much about Branch as he goes after him, along with Bruce and Clay, to apologize, after seeing the mistake he had made in leaving and hurting him, having figured out that he, along with Poppy and Tiny, went to rescue Floyd by themselves. John Dory also realized that he doesn't want to lose Branch again, having believed he lost him once for over twenty years. Hearing his words of wisdom, John Dory comes to terms that Branch has grown up and matured. John Dory even expressed pride in Branch for writing a song for the band

Rhonda is John's trusty armadillo bus. He always drives her around, and he takes good care of her. Rhonda in return is fiercely loyal to him and vice versa.

Music:John Dory was a member of BroZone and the groups leader, once the most popular of the Pop Trolls boy-band.John Dory was also the song writer and wrote all the songs for the band. However, the "BroZone" vinyl album shown in Trolls Band Together suggests towards the end John Dory was getting lazy as the Side B of the album has songs titled "Baby Baby Girl", "Girl Baby Baby" and "Baby Baby Baby Girl Woman". The similar names hint John Dory was running out of creative ideas, something that possibly came from the immense pressure he was feeling at the time from being the band leader. He also was behind the bands choreographer and organized their dance moves to perfection. He lead their dance moves, while they followed his cues. John Dory was determined to achieve perfect family Harmony, a feat never been done before but said could shatter diamonds and move of his actions regarding music and dancing were dedicated to achieving that end goal. A goal, which ultimately John Dory himself never successfully pulled off.

Survival Skills:Very much like Branch, John Dory had learned a very wide set of survival skills that allowed him to live as a hermit in total social isolation for over two decades. This is seen how he was able to infiltrate Velvet and Veneer's dressing room to try rescue Floyd and then evade it with great ease, something that Branch was only able to do with Poppy's help.

Driving:John Dory has been driving his house bus, the Armadillo named Rhonda, for many years and perform daring maneuvers with it.

Leadership:He was the leader and businessperson at the peak of BroZone. Even if he had started as a reasonably good leader (as he led BroZone to become the most successful boy band ever known), the fact that he couldn't separate his role as older brother from his role as band leader caused him to make bad decisions and disregard his younger brothers, leading to the band Breaking up

Psyche John Dory is not the smartest member of BroZone. Though he was the creative mind behind much of BroZone's hit songs, he was very bad at grasping situations that lead to the bands split. And towards the end, he seemed to be exhausting his creativity.

In addition to his bad leadership, and signs of his creativity being pushed, he displayed signs of not being intellectual in Trolls Band Together. He fell for Velvet's fake letter from Floyd, and thought he could easily get the band back together and was shocked when Bruce and Clay ignored him to make a fuss of Branch. The most notable moment was when he parked in a parking space labelled "BroZone" at Mount Rageous, leading to the capture of Clay, Bruce, Rhonda and himself, an act his two brothers called him out on after their capture.

He was also ignorant, having expected warm greetings from Branch, Bruce and Clay and was shocked when all three were not happy to see him. He also keeps expecting to be acknowledged for his band days, but gets annoyed when no one did
