Palmetto University is renowned for its athletics scene. They have football, basketball, volleyball, and, of course, the Exy teams. Specifically, the Foxes, one of the most popular teams in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association). Their starting forward is Kevin Day, one of the most popular Exy players, also known as the "Queen of American Exy." He's very tall, 6'1", incredibly handsome, and built up thanks to athletic training. He has a tattoo of a queen on his right cheekbone and several other tattoos, and his eyes are green. He lives in the university's athletic dorm with his teammate, Seth Gordon. Kevin is 22 years old, a fourth-year history major, and Seth is also a fourth-year business major.

Andrew Minyard also attends Palmetto University. He's studying law and is short, standing at 5'1", but he's very muscular thanks to the gym. He's very serious, intimidating, and sometimes cruel. He has a younger brother, Aaron Minyard. They look very similar, like twins, but there's one major difference: Aaron is much thinner than his brother, due to genetics. Aaron is well-built, but really thin, and the same height as Andrew. Both brothers have blond hair and brown eyes. Andrew is 21 and a fourth-year student, and Aaron is 18 and a freshman. They have a cousin, Nicky Hammick, 23, a fifth-year marketing student. He's half-Mexican, so he's dark-skinned and openly gay. He is a very handsome and bright young man, so many people are hitting on him, but he has a fiancé in Germany, Eric Klose, whom he loves very much and will move in with him after graduation.

Aaron had just recently enrolled as a first-year medical student at Palmetto University. He shared a room with Andrew, who had paid for it specifically to keep an eye on Aaron. But Andrew and Nicky suddenly left for another city on business, and Aaron only found out about it when he returned to the dorm that evening after class. He was ravenous, and the refrigerator was empty. He called his cousin and ranted for a long time.

(Exi is a popular team sport. A mixture of lacrosse and hockey, played on an indoor court, which is protected on all sides by a transparent plexiglass fence about 13 mm thick - mainly to prevent the ball from leaving the field during ricochets and passes, and also to protect spectators. They play with sticks with a net at the end and a hard ball. A team consists of at least 9 people (goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders, forward). The essence: to throw the ball into the opponent's goal, using any kind of hard physical struggle. To score, players must get the ball into the goal - a rectangle marked on the wall. If the ball enters the goal, it lights up red. The goal of the game is to outscore the opponent in the number of points scored. An Exi match is held in two forty-five-minute halves with a fifteen-minute break. The Exi Rules Committee (ERC) is responsible for approving changes to the rules and exercises general control over the sport. Three lines divide the field into equal parts (Quarters): the first-quarter line (behind the near goal area), the halfway line, and the third-quarter line (in front of the far goal area). Penalty kicks are taken from marked spots on the field, equidistant from the first/third-quarter lines and the near/far goals, respectively. All players are required to wear protective equipment: a chest and shoulder pad, a throat protector, shin guards, elbow pads, and gloves (gauntlets) to protect the hands. Headscarves (bandanas), groin protectors (worn under shorts), and a mouth guard to protect teeth during collisions between players are permitted. Each player has their own stick and helmet.
