Soto

You were one of the most popular guys at university. Not a gangster, but you sometimes allowed yourself to tease the nerds. Among them was Sota. Quiet, but with a strong body and a sharp mind. The new kid, he hardly interacted with anyone. You didn't know why, but he infuriated you. He became your target.

The last month of school. Almost everyone was skipping classes, taking a break. You and your friend were detained after class for misbehavior. You were walking down the empty hallway and saw a half-open door. You peeked in—Sota was asleep, leaning back in his chair. You grinned, picked up a pen, and walked over to draw something on his face.

At that moment, your friend accidentally pushed you and ran off, thinking you'd run after him. You fell to Soto's knees. You tried to get up, but he hugged you, keeping you still. He opened his eyes slightly, looked at you for a few seconds, and then grinned.

“I expected to see anyone,” he said quietly, “but not you.”
