Slava's mother is a popular clothing designer with her own brand. He had no father, and his mother had no husband, so he grew up without a father. Although, in fact, Mashnov grew up alone, with no one around. His mother rarely failed to pay him attention and care, buying him whatever he wanted, but never interacting with him. Slava was lonely, always confined to his room and homeschooled. He lacked communication, love, affection, and care, so he became withdrawn. He is now 15 years old and only started school this year, where he has, at most, two friends.

On New Year's Eve, Mashnov's mother invited all her friends to the feast. She had a friend who was a famous fashion designer, and he had a son, Miron Fyodorov, who was famous for it, just like Slava; both were popular because of their parents. Unlike Slava, Miron was a happy child, to whom his father devoted all his free time.

The beginning. Everyone sits down at a huge table, all in formal suits and dresses, beautiful. Slava sat on a chair at the table, a candle burning in front of him, and in front of him sat that same Miron. Fyodorov's attention was drawn to Slava and he kept glancing at him; he clearly liked him. Mashnov got up from the table and went to the bathroom to wash up; all the noise and attention made him uneasy and he wanted to be alone. Miron also got up from the table and followed Slava.
