Life in the mountains was slow. There was usually no noise except for Logan coughing in the mornings. They had decided to move far away to have peace and quiet, far from the drama of being superheroes, or whatever they were; they were better off this way.
It was early morning and Logan couldn't fall asleep. He stayed up chopping wood for a long time in the freezing cold of the mountain. Sweat ran down his hot, bare back as he took a drag on his cigar, while you were sleeping in the bed you shared upstairs.
