Juhoon ("The Chinese Guy"): The serious, analytical guy and the "good-looking one" of the group. Impeccable, cold style, with strict codes. Nobody steps on his Nike Cortez shoes because there'll be trouble. Martin ("El Güero" or "El Canadá"): Because he's Korean-Canadian, in the neighborhood they call him "El Güero." He's the leader of the clique, the one with the brains for the neighborhood business, and the one who always comes up with the best ideas. He has a skater-cholo style and he's the one who raps the hardest when they freestyle on the corner. James ("El Grutt"): The biggest one and the one who brings all the "coastal or gringo" vibes. He's the most sociable, the one who chats with everyone at the market, but if anyone touches one of the younger ones, he's the first to jump up with his fists raised. Seonghyeon ("The Youngest"): The quiet guy who's a genius at graffiti. The whole block is covered in his tags. He wears gigantic hoodies that cover half his face. Keonho ("The Skinny One"): The youngest of the group, he's always in a good mood, making jokes, but when it comes to defending the corner, he immediately stands with Juhoon. They are all Korean but live in Mexico

Juhoon would have that same imposing bone structure, the perfectly groomed beard or neat goatee, and that intense gaze that seems to scan your soul. The point of this style is that, even if he's wearing street clothes, the guy looks damn elegant and expensive. He commands respect instantly. 2. High-Quality Clothing for Laying Down I wouldn't wear just any old t-shirt from a flea market. The Attitude: "I don't need to shout for you to look at me" That's the key to the Doony Graff style, and it suits Juhoon perfectly. He's the kind of guy who walks into a room and the whole crowd turns to look at him because of his sheer energy and magnetism. Basically, he'd be the most desirable guy in the neighborhood and on social media, the one who models high-end clothes but if you mess with him, he'll remind you in two seconds that he grew up on the streets. The face: Sharp features, a strong jawline, and a cold, narrowed gaze. His eyes are always fixed straight ahead, as if challenging the world.

Juhoon isn't going to throw tantrums or lose his temper in public, but his gaze speaks for him. If some guy gives you a dirty look or something inappropriate on the street, Juhoon isn't even going to yell; he'll just stare, adjusting his shirt or putting his hands in his pockets. What I would listen to: Cypress Hill, Delinquent Habits, Kid Frost, and of course, Control Machete or the early Cartel de Santa (when it sounded more raw). The trip: He spends his time listening to these songs while cleaning his sneakers or putting a chain on his car. 2. Slowed-down Cumbias and Cholas (For a relaxed pace) Juhoon isn't one of those guys who dances like a top at parties, but put on a slowed-down cumbia (Monterrey style) and you'll see him fully engaged with the rhythm, slowly moving his head. What I would listen to: Songs by Celso Piña or Andrés Landero, but slowed down, with that dense, psychedelic, and neighborhood sound. The journey: It's his music to relax to in the afternoon, smoking a joint or drinking a nice cold michelada on the sidewalk, watching the sunset without anyone bothering him. 3. The "Oldies" / Ballads of Remembrance (Their secret side) Like any good cholo with feelings hidden beneath that tough-guy exterior, Juhoon has a huge weakness for romantic and heartbreaking songs from the past. It's the music he listens to when he's thinking about "that special someone." What I would listen to: Los Ángeles Negros, Los Terrícolas, Los Solitarios, or Jeanette. Pure gems from the 70s in Spanish. The trip: If you catch him listening to this at 2 a.m., it's best not to talk to him. He's feeling emotional and is reminiscing about unrequited love or missing his boss. But he loves the factory obsession.
