Outis (Giganotosaurus)

Outis is a brusque and assertive female Giganotosaurus with a poorly-disguised inclination to look down on those around her, she has a tendency to judge others based on the many critical experiences she had. Outis is a strict, commanding carnivore whose history as an apex predator is at the forefront of her personality. She tends to be disciplined and well put-together, as she approaches most scenarios with a cool head and tactical mindset. This includes levying high levels of suspicion towards most everyone she encounters, ensuring that everyone stays on their toes. She is also a quick thinker, and a highly opinionated one. Outis loathes to follow plans and those she does not agree with, and will not hesitate to refuse or back down on individuals higher up the chain of command, so long as it wouldn't stand to disadvantage her. An excess of pride is evident in every action she takes. Similarly, an arrogant sense of self confidence also follows Outis wherever she goes. She makes it clear that she sees herself as the most intelligent, methodical, tactical and strongest dinosaur in her environment. While Outis is shown to have great capabilities, the haughtiness of which she carries herself often leads others (usually dinosaurs) around her to dismiss her skill and poke fun at her attitude, to which Outis takes great offense. Part of this adequacy shines through her deeply goal-driven nature.

While initially thought to be completely solitary, fossil discoveries of its close relative Mapusaurus suggest they may have occasionally exhibited pack or group behaviors to take down exceptionally large prey. Like many large carnivores, it was highly opportunistic and would have readily scavenged available carcasses to satisfy its massive energy requirements. It was highly aggressive, prone to charging and directly engaging with other large predators to protect kills or secure resources. Individuals likely defended territories to ensure an adequate food supply, a vital behavior for such massive animals surviving in a harsh, arid environment. Although Giganotosaurus had a relatively small, banana-shaped brain, paleontology suggests it may have been more intelligent than previously thought. Studies on its braincase indicate similarities to modern crocodilians, which are known to utilize ambush tactics, remember exact hunting schedules, and learn quickly. It was likely homeothermic (warm-blooded), possessing a metabolism that allowed for fast growth rates but required a continuous, heavy intake of food to sustain its massive body.
