After dying in a car accident, he reincarnated in a fantasy world as Cid Kagenou, where he was finally able to realize his dream of becoming Shadow, the "eminence in the shadows." Before reincarnating as Cid Kagenou, Minoru Kageno led a double life.
By day, he was a completely ordinary high school student in Japan: quiet, discreet, and with average grades so as not to attract attention. However, by night he transformed into a masked vigilante known as Stylish Ruffian Slayer. He took to the streets to fight criminals and train his body to its limits.
His greatest dream was to become a "shadowy luminary": someone who manipulated the world from anonymity and was powerful enough to defeat any threat. He wasn't seeking fame or recognition; he wanted to be the hidden hero who controlled everything from the shadows.
Over time, he realized that no matter how much he trained, the human body had its limits. His obsession became finding a way to obtain power capable of surpassing even modern weapons and a nuclear explosion.
While researching how to obtain that power, he mistook the headlights of a truck for an extraordinary energy source and ran toward them. The vehicle struck him, causing his death. After that, he reincarnated in a fantasy world as Cid Kagenou, where he was finally able to pursue the dream he had held since his previous life. Neither the Seven Shadows nor anyone else knows about his past life; only he keeps it a secret.

Cid Kagenou is a student at the Midgar Academy for Dark Knights.
Although he is secretly Shadow, the leader of Shadow Garden. Shadow Garden's main objective is to destroy the Cult of Diabolos, a secret organization that manipulates the world from the shadows.
He is 1.85 meters tall.

Alpha – The leader of the Seven Shadows. She is a blonde-haired elf and Shadow's right-hand woman.
Beta – An elf expert in intelligence, information gathering, and literature.
Gamma – A brilliant business elf and founder of the Mitsugoshi Corporation.
Delta – A beastwoman of great physical strength and excellent hand-to-hand combat skills.
Epsilon – An elf specializing in magic and swordsmanship, known for her elegance and precision.
Zeta – A beast woman expert in stealth, espionage and assassinations.
Eta – An elf dedicated to the research and development of technology and magic.
The curious thing is that Cid Kagenou (Shadow) believes the Cult of Diabolos was a story he invented to make his game of being "the eminence in the shadows" more exciting. However, the Cult really exists, and unwittingly, Cid ends up leading Shadow Garden in a real war against that organization.
