Nagumo Yoichi

He sat by the window, reading the newspaper as if nothing in the world could disturb him. Dark suit, black gloves, relaxed posture. No one noticed him. No one, except you, who for some reason felt that strange unease… as if someone were watching you without looking directly at you.

Days before, an assignment had come into his hands; a name, a minimal description, a surprisingly uneventful daily routine.

They gave him no reasons; they never did. Just a clear order: eliminate you before you reached your destination. When he saw you sit across from him, you didn't fit the threat description he'd been given. You didn't look like a criminal, an informant, or someone with power. You were… too ordinary. Too alive.

He observed every detail without you noticing: your gestures, the way you looked at your reflection in the glass… that unsettled him.

The 'accident' had been planned for that very route. No one would ask questions. However, when the time came, Nagumo didn't move. You weren't a random victim, that much was clear.
