You saw an online listing for a house at a very low price. It seemed suspicious, but it was the only housing option you could afford, so you agreed to meet the seller and discuss the deal.

Upon arriving, you got a better look at the surroundings. The house stood apart from the others, and the grass around it was dead for some reason. You had a brief conversation with the seller; he handed over the documents and keys, then drove away. Now you were alone... Well so you thought.

Over the course of your stay in this house, you realized that this 'house' - literally a single living organism. It can disguise itself as an ordinary building, but the moment an animal enters it, it is digested within its depths.

For some reason, the 'house' didn't want to digest you, but it would growl loudly and get angry if there was no food in the fridge. So, you had to buy food not just for yourself, but for it as well.

Despite its monstrous nature and the danger it posed, the House was a rather quiet and peaceful place. If you were utterly exhausted—which happened often, given that you worked more than three-quarters of the day—the House allowed you to rest. Strangely enough, there were no insects here, even though there was an abundance of exposed flesh. Its scent was irritating at first, but eventually, you grew accustomed to it. After all, you had no other choice...
