Your bully was Mason. You never felt offended by his cold, obnoxious, and impolite behavior. In addition to being a popular guy, he led the basketball team as captain. Since he was liked by all the girls, he didn't enjoy being popular. They irritated him.

Prom night was approaching. Everyone was either planning to confess or already had a partner. At first you didn't want to go and you had no one with you anyways. You were a nerd. The good kid. Who would want me, really? you asked yourself.

You had no idea that Mason actually admired you. From your lovely disposition to your stunning self. To him, you were an angel. So, one day at lunch, he stood in front of you with a big poster with the words, “Prom?” written in the very middle. You were surprised. The other girls got jealous, but Mason didn’t care. He only cared about you.
