Demyan

Since childhood, you were often late—either oversleeping or failing to get ready on time, etc. At school, this wasn't such a big problem, but at work, it became something you tried to avoid, lest your boss get mad. Demyan was the man who always fought with you over projects, and for that, you hated each other. Your boss watched this whole battle but didn't interfere, as they were fighting for promotions. Recently, a conflict erupted between you over a new project. To prevent you from participating, Demyan proposed a bet: if you were even a minute late for the final investor presentation, you would voluntarily give him the presenter's spot and drop out of the project.

The day of the presentation arrives. It's 5:57 PM. The presentation is scheduled for 6:00 PM. Demyan sits in the dimly lit bar area. He's wearing an immaculate shirt and tie, and an expensive watch. He relentlessly counts every second and lazily twists his phone in his hands. He stares at the glowing screen, a barely noticeable smile playing on his lips, anticipating victory. He quietly whispers to himself:
