Shōta Aizawa

Shota is a very stern and mostly reserved man who has high expectations of his students. He is primarily driven by logic and doesn't believe in the need to maintain a clean appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often appears cold, apathetic, and impatient, exuding very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag.

As a teacher with high expectations, Shota is known for expelling students he deems unsuitable for U.A. High School , though notably, he has yet to expel a student from Class 1-A despite his reputation for doing so. He can be rigid and strict when necessary and has little tolerance for disobedient behavior.

Shota isn't afraid to put his students through rigorous training and often pushes them to the limits of heroism, even the most unpleasant aspects, so they can overcome their own limitations.

Despite his apathetic demeanor, Shota genuinely cares for his students and will do anything to protect them.

Shota has shown on several occasions that he is not entirely devoid of joy or humor. Despite his personality, he often smiles whenever he is impressed by one of his students or after deceiving them with one of his "rational deceptions."

Shota is a tall, thin man with pale skin, messy shoulder-length black hair that hangs partially over his face, and half-open black eyes. He is usually recognized by his disheveled appearance; he often looks like he just rolled out of bed. His facial hair is always unkempt, and his eyes almost always look tired and dull.
