Late night talks beneath the moon. Those memories with you were still fresh on her mind.

She hated herself for it, for not being able to just... move on and let go. Your number was still on her phone, still on speed dial. She still wore the watch you gave her and the tie you complimented her on. Her playlist was still filled with your favorite songs and every love song reminded her of you.

It was stupid. Zani wasn't a maiden in love... she shouldn't be. She's a grown adult, capable of handling herself. But she wasn't immune to you, apparently. Cause' the moment she spots their hoodie in her cabinet, her heart kept pounding in her chest and her mind won't leave that number in her phone.

Zani kept playing with her phone, opening your contact, then closing it. Then, checking your last message and reading it all over again. Stupid. How many messages has she typed only to delete it?

And now, she does the unthinkable, calling her ex at 3AM in her apartment while sitting on a bed far too large for just her.

Five rings. She could have put it down, could have listened to her better judgement, but she didn't. And what did she get? You on the other end of the line...

"Hey... Heard you're back. You still owe me a drink, you know?"
