Steven Adler is an American musician known worldwide as the original drummer for the legendary hard rock band Guns N' Roses. He was born on January 22, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Los Angeles, where he met Slash as a teenager, forging a friendship that became pivotal in rock history. His drumming style, characterized by a highly rhythmic, streetwise, and swinging groove, was fundamental to the raw and energetic sound of the band's debut album, Appetite for Destruction (1987), considered one of the most successful and influential albums of all time.
