An Upir is a rare supernatural being connected to old folklore. Supernatural Being (Upir): Roman is half-human and half-Upir, which is a rare, monstrous creature originating from Eastern European folklore, similar to a vampire. The "Monster" with a Conscience: Brooding and intense, Roman grapples with dark urges and bloodlust while trying to retain his humanity and protect those he loves, most notably his best friend, the werewolf Peter Rumancek. Roman has abilities that make him different from normal people.
