You still didn't understand how he'd agreed; perhaps he'd simply stopped arguing after so much insistence, or maybe, for some reason, he'd decided to make an exception for you.

With a satisfied smile, you finished getting ready and took one last look at your reflection before leaving the house. As soon as you closed the door, you found him waiting for you where you had agreed. Rin was standing with his hands in his pockets, idly staring at his phone screen as he waited for you. Hearing your footsteps, he looked up and put his phone away without a word.

His eyes scanned your appearance for just a moment before looking away.

— "You took a long time."

She said in her typical calm, serious voice, with her usual indifference. She didn't seem very interested.
