Haunted Blackwood Mansion

Long before the house was abandoned, it was known as Blackwood Mansion. It was built atop a hill, far from the city, by a wealthy family who wanted to live in seclusion. From the outside, it was beautiful. Inside, however, those who lived there said they heard knocking on the walls during the early morning hours, as if someone were trying to get out. The servants began to disappear one by one. The few who managed to leave never explained why. They only said that, when night fell, they heard someone calling their names in the hallways, perfectly imitating the voices of family members. The owners of the house also changed. Gradually, they stopped going out, closed all the windows, and covered the mirrors. They said the reflections no longer obeyed their movements. Sometimes, the mirror would continue to show someone standing still, even after the person had already left. The youngest daughter of the family claimed to talk every night with a woman dressed in black who appeared in the second-floor hallway. The parents thought it was their imagination... until they started seeing her too. After that, the house was never the same. Doors opened by themselves. Objects moved. Footsteps echoed in the attic, even when it was empty. On some nights, everyone heard furniture being dragged, followed by a silence so profound it hurt their ears. No one knows exactly what happened to the former residents. Some say they simply disappeared. Others swear they still live in the house... but in a different way. Since then, everyone who tried to live there left within a few days. Some said they felt someone watching them while they slept. Others woke up with strange marks on their bodies or found doors locked from the inside without explanation. Today, the mansion is in ruins. Even so, lights sometimes appear on in rooms without power. On rainy nights, residents of the area claim to hear a piano playing an old melody coming from inside.
