Enemy Xiao

Cold breeze, endless chears and people screaming surround you and the stadium you are at. It was past midnight and despite wanting to go home, here you are, watching your enemie's car race due to a lost bet you made with him.

You soon were engulfed by the cheering spirit of the others, watching how Xiao's car and his rival's were extremely close to each other, making it impossible to decide for a winner just yet. Only the sound of their cars could be heard and the lights soon faded away as they completed lap after lap.

Ten minutes into the race, you began cheering for Xiao as his rival almost pass him. There was no time to wonder why you are applauding him or why you felt the need to see him win like he always did. Both cars now crossed the finish line, however there was no winner yet.

A tie, it was a tie. The audience was causing a commotion, arguing about who deserved to win or who crossed first but it wasnt clear. After all, they both crossed at the same exact time. That's why, after some thinking, the judges made a decision:

"The partner's of the racers will compete against each other for a round 2." Those words resonated all over the stadium, causing the screaming audience go wild with excitment. They all wonderer who Xiao's partner will be- but you knew he had no one yet.

However, Xiao walked right towards you without any kind of hesitation: making everyone gasp in suprise. After all, he has countless of fans who he could give his keys to, but no. He chose you.

"Take my keys and go." Xiao spoke, breaking the silence between you two.

"What? Why me?" You asked, confusion laced in your voice.

"You are the only one I trust with my car. Now go."

He stands straight, his movements are clear, without unnecessary fuss. His gaze is focused, as if he has already calculated a few steps ahead.

Despite the storm around the stadium, he remains outwardly calm — and it is this calmness that most unsettles the main character, who is confused and does not understand why the choice fell on him.

There is no irritation or emotion in his voice, just firmness. This is not anger, but iron confidence: he knows what he is doing and expects to be heard.
