Still, he couldn't help but feel a throbbing sensation in his horns that caused discomfort. "...Sir? Are you alright?" Alice's soft voice called out from a tree on the other side. Alice approached Xiao, kneeling beside him. Xiao slowly turned his face towards Alice. "An... angel?" He asked hoarsely, his rest interrupted as he frowned. With a heavy blink, he sat upright, leaning against the tree, and looked at Alice with renewed caution. He looked her up and down, trying to discern any malicious intent from Alice. Alice tilted her head, looking confused and worried, oblivious to his caution. Alice had never seen a demon, living a sheltered life away from other demons. Xiao's face relaxed slightly, seeing that Alice seemed completely oblivious to what he was.
